Job description

Purpose of the post:  To provide high quality and fully confidential administrative support to the school.

responsibilities:

Office administrative tasks, including collation of statutory paperwork, liaison with outside agencies, and supporting the administrative function
of the school.

The Administration assistant will:

Collate statutory paperwork, including reports and paperwork for annual and interim review meetings.

Answer the telephone and deal with the call appropriately.

Assist the Office Manager with processing of reports, meeting minutes and letters.

Assist with filing for all areas of the school office

Take meeting minutes as requested.

Photocopying/scanning as required.

Assist the Office Manager in the maintenance of the school MIS database.

To support and assist the school office team ie. cover as and when necessary, including reception.

Any other administrative task requested by the Office Manager, or school leadership team.

Good academic qualifications, including GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
Previous administrative experience across a range of office duties
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•  Understand how pupils’ learning is affected by their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development, to understand
the stages of child development and make all necessary adaptations to meet these and to address the needs identified in the
Statement.

•  Be familiar with the school’s current systems and structures as outlined in policy documents including the Health and Safety

and Child Protection Policies.

To remain vigilant and do everything possible to safeguard young people and others from abuse of a physical, emotional,
sexual, neglectful, financial or institutional nature. This includes a primary focus on the wellbeing of young people and an
absolute requirement to report immediately any incident of this nature you witness, hear about or suspect.
