We are proud of our warm, caring and inclusive community, where pupils flourish academically and personally. Our staff are dedicated, supportive and passionate about creating an exceptional environment for children, families and colleagues alike.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, professional and highly organised Admin Assistant to join our welcoming Front Office team.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service and is looking for a varied role in a friendly school environment. Every day is different, and you will play an important part in supporting the smooth operation of the school while helping to create a positive experience for pupils, parents, visitors and staff.

About the role

You will be a key member of our administration team, providing a professional reception and administrative service and helping ensure the school runs efficiently each day.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming visitors, parents and pupils and providing a friendly and professional reception service.
  • Responding to enquiries in person, by telephone and by email.
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting a range of administrative processes across the school.
  • Assisting with attendance monitoring, pupil records and school communications.
  • Supporting school events, meetings, admissions activities and prospective parent visits.
  • Helping maintain an organised, professional and welcoming reception area.
  • Providing pastoral support to pupils and administering first aid (full training can be provided).

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience in a busy, customer-focused administrative environment.
  • Are highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with a wide range of people.
  • Have strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Are proactive, reliable and have excellent attention to detail.
  • Understand the importance of discretion, confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and contributing to the wider life of a school.

Previous school experience would be welcomed but is not essential.

Why join Holy Cross?

We value our staff and recognise the important contribution they make to our success. In return, we offer:

  • Competitive salary.
  • Pension scheme.
  • Life insurance.
  • Employee wellbeing programme including 24/7 GP access.
  • Free lunch during term time.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • A supportive and friendly working environment.
  • Opportunities for training and professional development.
  • The chance to work in a beautiful setting with excellent facilities.
