Celebrating and Inspiring Children Who Do It Differently is a service funded by Surrey and Borders NHS Trust and offers support to 6-16 year olds living in Surrey, attending a Surrey State School. The Celebrating Service offer their support under the Mindworks Alliance (formerly CAMHS).
The groups run for 5/6 weeks and coincide with Surrey school half terms. This post is for 39 weeks per year. The team run groups on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursday across the county of Surrey, therefore a full UK driving licence and access to your own car is a must for this role. Our mileage expenses policy is that you can claim miles that are an extension of your miles to and from the office hub which is based in Leatherhead Surrey. To be able to claim for mileage expenses colleagues must have business car insurance which covers travel between multiple places of work. This can be discussed and administrative support given to the successful candidate.
The Celebrating and Inspiring Team has a dedicated admin colleague who liaises with the schools in Surrey to book in groups. There are always two Barnardo's colleagues running the groups, one colleague leads and one colleague supports. The colleague leading the session is responsible for the admin linked to that group. The leading and supporting roles are shared fairly across the team throughout the 5/6 week rotations. Full training is provided to ensure you are confident with the admin and leading our sessions. Our sessions are planned following our programme and scope of work, however the team work together to create meaningful developments as required following team meetings and ensuring the voice of the child is factored in to developments of our sessions and aims. Essential for the role:
Full UK Driving Licence upon application and access to a car.
Once appointed organise business car insurance to be able to claim mileage expenses.
Ability to work independently and part of a team.
Good written and verbal use of the English Language.
Good understanding of Neurodevelopmental conditions predominantly ADHD this can be through a career or personal understanding.

Sessions can start at schools from 8:30am, travel across the whole of Surrey is required and arrival 15 minutes before session start time is a requirement of the role. Laptop and Phone provided.
