Acts 435 Administrator

Purpose:

Assist in administering the day-to-day functioning of the

charity.

Location:

Home-based, with weekly meetings in York

Hours:

15 hours per week, preferably mornings but must be spread

across the whole working week

Salary:

£25,480 per annum, pro rata, working 15 hours a week

Reports to:

The Operations Manager

Job Description

This role involves working closely with the Operations Manager to ensure the

smooth running of the charity. The main everyday tasks of the role include

checking through the requests and thank you messages from our partners.

Partner church and charity Advocates use our online platform to submit requests

on behalf of those they are supporting, and later share thank you messages once

the help has been received. You’ll be responsible for reviewing these requests and

messages - making sure they are clear, accurate, well-written, and in line with our

guidelines, while still valuing each individual story.

The successful candidate will need to be able to balance efficiency and a good

eye for detail with compassion and an appreciation of the individual

circumstances of partners and those in need.

Key Responsibilities

Check through each request and either put through necessary edits before
making it live, or send it back to the partner to request more information from
them;

Based on the request checking process, alert the Operations Manager as to
any particular issues and liaise as to next steps;

Send any particularly urgent or unusual requests to the Digital Content Officer
to share on social media;

Share prayer requests with the Communications & Partnerships Director;

Answer the work phone line and refer calls to the relevant team members;

Provide simple support and advice to the local Advocates, primarily through
email;

Review thank you messages, complete requests and contact the Operations
Manager regarding any messages that need to go back to Advocates;

Handle new partner enquiries; and

Manage the admin inbox and forward emails to the correct person in the
team.
