JOB PURPOSE
The Finance team ensures accountability of the funds donated or granted to Amnesty, from effective resource allocation, to reporting to donors on project spend, to assisting in global income growth. The Finance team is predominantly based in London, but we have colleagues in many offices around the world. Globally, the IS Finance has a responsibility to help maximise the effectiveness of our funding to further the cause of improving global human rights.
In this role, you will be required to deliver an excellent service to the International Secretariat and across the regions by ensuring payments to suppliers, staff and other beneficiaries are made in line with Service Level Agreements. To maintain the purchase and income ledgers so that financial information is up to date and accurate; to monitor implementation of relevant finance policies and the relevant processes through effective use of the Purchase Order system and Travel Management Systems in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) using Clarity and Concur.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing of batch payments through Convera and Accesspay.
- Processing of single payments via Lloyds Bank
- Processing of invoices on D365 (Purchase Requisition and Order system), ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
- Setting up new suppliers on D365, ensuring compliance with the procurement policy
- Ledger entry in the accounting systems.
- Posting bank transactions on the ledgers.
- Reviewing staff expense claims and receipts on the Concur expense management system, in line with the Expenses Policy.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Working in an Accounts payable team for a large organization multiple foreign currency payments
- Development of training materials and best practice procedure guides
- Strong financial accounting and control experience
- Dealing with UK and international banks
- Dealing with non-Finance staff, i.e. relationship building, explaining financial information clearly and concisely
