About the role
The Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) Officer will lead the implementation and strengthening of community feedback and complaints mechanisms, ensuring accountability is integrated across all programme activities. The role is responsible for promoting meaningful community engagement, analysing feedback to support programme improvement, building staff and partner capacity on accountability standards, coordinating with relevant stakeholders, and ensuring that community voices inform decision-making and humanitarian response efforts.
About You
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, supported by relevant qualifications or experience. A degree in Social Sciences, Humanitarian Affairs, International Development, or a related field is an asset.
Candidates should have demonstrated experience in a similar humanitarian role, preferably within an INGO, with proven experience in managing feedback and complaints mechanisms and applying AAP, CHS, Protection Mainstreaming, and PSEA principles. Knowledge of data collection tools, reporting systems, and accountability-related data analysis is required.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic, strong community engagement abilities, and experience in delivering trainings and capacity-building activities. They should be able to manage sensitive complaints confidentially, work effectively both independently and within a team, manage multiple priorities under pressure, and demonstrate strong reporting, analytical, and MS Office skills.
