This home currently supports three men, ranging from their early 30s to older adulthood. Our goal is to help them live fulfilled and enjoyable lives both at home and in the community.
The people you’ll support enjoy a wide range of interests including going to the cinema, visiting the park and garden swing, days out to zoos and Park Farm, swimming, nature walks, picnics, and car-related hobbies. Two of the gentlemen place great importance on their cars, so confident drivers are essential. You’ll also help them stay connected with friends at Wednesday clubs and maintain strong family relationships.
You’ll be supporting with:
- Encouraging independence with personal care – usually prompts rather than full support.
- Cooking nutritious meals and following food safety practices.
- Meal preparation and supporting a gentleman who has a SALT plan.
- Medication assistance.
- Driving the home’s Motability vehicles (two manuals and one automatic) to activities, appointments, and family visits.
A variety of shifts are available, including earlies, lates, long days, waking nights and every other weekend, with no sleep-ins and a two-week rolling rota.

Community Development Worker (Young Women & Migrant Women) - Rotherham
Come and join our exciting and dynamic team in Rotherham, working to reduce HIV transmission in our communities.
This is an exciting time to be joining our South Yorkshire team, we are developing new services across the county based on the needs of the communities we work with.
You’ll be providing HIV & STI prevention primarily to migrant women and women under 25 to increase the uptake of chlamydia screening, reduce late diagnosis of HIV, as well as reduce the incidence of STI infection and poor sexual health.
Prime Objectives (for full list, as well as main tasks and duties please refer to the Job description)
- To develop expertise in and focus the majority of work on GBMSM communities. To maintain and use the skills required to work with all population groups.
- To undertake outreach work, focusing on GBMSM communities’ groups, areas/events where the above may go - assessing need in relation to safer sex and sexual health.
- To carry out outreach work to virtual and physical locations where target group members may meet and to monitor and evaluate the work at regular intervals.
- To develop forums, groups and events which meet the needs of GBMSM communities.
- To offer information and sexual health resources, including condoms and lube, in a variety of settings; including over the telephone, internet face to face and areas and events where GBMSM meet.
- To deliver appropriate community based sexual health interventions including HIV and syphilis point of care tests (POCT) and chlamydia screening to the target groups in community settings.
Salary: NJC scale 6 (points 18 - 22) starting at £31,537 pro rata per annum for 21 hours per week. This is an employment contract until 31st March 2027. Salary is reviewed annually. There is a 5% workplace pension (on completion of probationary period). This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS with barred lists check.

The services will be open on Friday evenings, Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons, all year round.
We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and resilient mental health support workers to join our friendly supportive team and to help deliver this vital service to local people. As a Pet Welfare Assistant, you will ensure that the welfare standards are met and that rehabilitation plans are followed and supported for pets in our care. Working independently and with the team you will carry out meetings with owners giving up their pet, ensuring all information is recorded, paperwork completed and that the pet is immediately assessed for behavioural or veterinary problems. Working closely with the Adoptions Coordinator you will provide additional in person or virtual advice and practical demonstrations to ensure adoptees are fully aware of the work that has been done with the pet and how to continue with any other additional behaviour training or medical provision. This role is mostly based in our cattery department.
This is a part time role on a 2 week rota consisting of the below days;
Week 1: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

At our Burford rehoming centre, we provide onsite accommodation for pets in our care 24/7. Overnight shifts are usually undertaken by team members who live on site. We’re looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting Equation’s to aid achieve the goal stipulated within national to reduce domestic abuse, by addressing perpetration at its root causes in a community-based approach. This role is available within Equation’s perpetrator services, aiding with the organisation of the Your Choice Project, our Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme (DAPP), and Project CARA, a Police Out of Court Resolution for standard risk domestic abuse offences. This pivotal role involves working closely with the team and those who have been identified as survivors or perpetrators of domestic abuse. This role has responsibilities specifically focused on engaging with perpetrators, both directly and through liaison with partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing referrals and assessments
- Promoting our services to referrers and professionals
- Coordinating logistics, training, and data monitoring
- Acting as the single point of contact (SPOC) for partner agencies (e.g police, survivor support agencies and social care)
- Supporting service development and safeguarding
- Contributing to quality assurance and impact evaluation
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who:
- Has the ability to manage sensitive and challenging situations with empathyand professionalism.
- Has knowledgeable about safeguardingprocedures and domestic abuse legislation.
