Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Technical Specialist to join our team in Abuja, Nigeria
Job purpose
The primary roles of the Technical Specialist (TS) would cover strategic technical support, capacity development, evidence and knowledge development and dissemination, and technical representation.
S/he would work with the Programme Director (PD) and team in providing technical guidance in the direct implementation of SMC activities, covering macro and microplanning, training, logistic system, social behavioral change communication, SPAQ distribution, quality assurance (QA) and supportive supervision at the state, LGA, health facility and community levels as per the agreed performance framework targets.
The TS would lead in ensuring Malaria Consortium’s strategic objectives and targets and contributions to Nigeria malaria targets are realized.
He/She would also lead in the review of Malaria Consortium routine ITN, SMC and other chemoprevention strategies implemented in the project and continuously provide technical appraisal and how these can achieve increasing effectiveness/cost effectiveness.
Scope of work
Using an integrated, coordinated, system strengthening and resilience enhancing approach, the TS provides strategic technical and programmatic support to ensure that project interventions is implemented according to the national guideline and global best practices.
The Technical Specialist (TS) will provide additional technical support working closely with the Country Technical Coordinator (CTC), to the technical team at the country office level with specific attention to follow-up on ToRs, concept notes, engagement of technical assistance (TA), TA and programme reports, tracking/follow up on technical quality of state level activities through interphase with the STOs.. S/he would also be involved in representation of the programme during meeting with PRs and other stakeholders.
Key working relationships
The Technical Specialist will work under the line-management of the Programme Director with dotted line management of the SCTC and in close collaboration with the colleagues in the country office, dotted line relationship to the State Technical Officers, other GF SRs, partners and stakeholders would deliver aspects of the programme as per the specified job tasks and expected deliverables.
Key accountabilities
Technical contributions (70%)
- Support the development of technical workplans and provide quarterly project performance updates.
- Support states to ensure that rollout of programme service delivery activities meet international standard of quality;
- Initiate/follow-up on approval of ToRs for all activities to be carried out at the national, state, LGA, health facility and community level;
- Work in liaison with country office team to closely monitor delivery of ToRs; obtain reports in a timely manner and ensure the proper sign-off of all submitted reports;
- Provide technical support, including building their capabilities, to the state teams in the planning and implementation of all programme activities including malaria prevention (routine ITNs distribution & IPTp), case management (diagnosis and treatment), quality of care (QoC), integrated community case management (iCCM/CHIPS);
- Ensure the GF project’s adherence to technical quality assurance processes for MC in programme planning and implementation.
- Document innovation and best practices that are related to the programme.
- Represent MC on malaria Technical Working Groups (TWGs) and other relevant health coordinating committees at national level as designated.
Project Management (20%)
- Support collation, review, and submission of routine project service delivery activity reports to Programme Director.
- Support Project Director to follow up Country Office review feedbacks on reports and other project documents.
- Contribute to preparation of the quarterly Progress Update and Disbursement Request (PUDR) to the donor.

An Area Secretary is the key liaison between the Society and the local Council on ROW matters such as, requesting work needed to keep a ROW clear and responding to path diversion requests. They also get involved in ad hoc issues such as requests to change the status of paths and discussions with landowners about access issues on their land. An Area Secretary covers a number of Parishes and is supported by a group of Path Reps and the Society’s ROWG Team. This Team compromises all the other Area Secretaries, Path Maintenance Volunteer Leaders and representatives of various associated activities such as walking, cycling and horse riding.

Job Description Role Title Class Teacher 1- 8 Reporting Relationships Reports To: School Management Team Location Ringwood Waldorf School Accountable To: Colleagues, parents, pupils Role Purpose Inspire and motivate class children in accordance with the Steiner Waldorf curriculum by delivering age appropriate, thought provoking lessons which capture pupil’s imagination and develop a love of learning. The Box Office Supervisor plays a vital role in communicating with our customers, developing new audiences as well as helping to create an excellent audience experience. This role may be required to work both daytimes and evenings. The role will primarily be based on the Box Office counter but will involve working in the office as well. What you will do Sales and Communication • Provide and ensure excellent levels of customer service across the team • Sell tickets and upsell merchandise, refreshment packages and gift vouchers - whether in person or by telephone for all of Play to the Crowd’s activities • Assist with all ticket queries from customers, staff and visiting companies, contacting ticket holders with any changes in the performance schedule • Open and close Box Office, ensuring takings are counted and placed in the safe • Ensure the security of the Box Office is maintained at all times • Manage ticket agent allocations efficiently • Set up sales reports for visiting companies and prepare reports for other purposes as required, manage company holds • Help to ensure customer records are accurate, regularly de-duping and checking new accounts • Together with the Box Office and Data Insights Manager, manage key external relationships with group and school bookers ensuring timely, warm communications and prompt payment • Work with the wider Communications Team to sure all listing sites are up to date with the current programme and assist with postal mailings as and when required • Help distribute print to key points around the city centre Preparing for incoming audience prior to performance • Ensure that the seats from any sold wheelchair positions have been removed by the Technical team • Be the initial point of contact to welcome ticket holders to the building, distribute any COBO tickets and be responsible for any ticketing queries • Distribute hearing loop headsets and assist the Duty Manager with any other tasks required glorious theatrical opportunities and experiences that enrich “Play to the Crowd offers us all.” What you will do Audience Experience • Act as the main information and reception point for the venue, ensuring a professional, customer focused welcome for all visitors including professional companies, hirers and the general public • Actively engage with the charity’s customers and provide the best level of customer service at every point in the customer journey • Deal with any customer service issues that may occur either in person, on the phone, via email, or via the post show questionnaire in a professional, on brand manner • Report feedback – both positive and negative – to the Box Office and Data Insights Manager, or relevant team member, to help Play to the Crowd improve our service, systems & offer • Champion our accessibility, and help to improve our offer for those with access requirements • Work as part of a team to constantly improve the Front of House environment, audience experience and to champion the organisation’s values • Ensure lost property is correctly logged, stored and removed after a suitable time Fundraising • Maintain excellent knowledge of the charity’s Memberships and other fundraising opportunities, proactively encouraging donations and Memberships sign ups • Support the Fundraising Manager in the administration of the Membership schemes, benefits and events • Ensure gif...

Voluntary role
The Iona Community is seeking to appoint up to three new Directors (Trustees) to join our Council from the 2026 AGM.
This is a significant and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the governance and strategic direction of an international, ecumenical Christian movement rooted in hope and lived in community.
About the role
Directors of the Iona Community are also charity Trustees. Together, Council members hold collective responsibility for the governance, strategy and overall stewardship of the Community, ensuring that our work is faithful to our vision, values and charitable purposes. This role is one of strategic oversight, not day-to-day operational management, which is carried out by employed staff.
Trustees are expected to act with care and diligence, to safeguard the ethos and reputation of the Iona Community, and to help ensure that we remain legally, financially and spiritually sustainable for the future.
Who we are looking for
We are keen to hear from people who are aligned with the vision, purpose and values of the Iona Community and who can contribute thoughtfully and constructively to Council discussions.
Applicants may be Members, Associate Members, Friends of the Iona Community, or people from beyond the membership. We are particularly mindful of the need for a diverse mix of skills, backgrounds, perspectives and life experience on Council, and welcome applications from people who may not have previous trustee experience.
Trustees are encouraged to bring both professional expertise and a willingness to engage deeply with the life, faith and common task of the Community.
Time commitment
Council meets five times per year:

Some Trustees also serve on committees or hold specific liaison roles, which involve additional meetings (usually online) and preparation time. All Trustees are expected to read papers in advance and to engage thoughtfully in decision-making.
A comprehensive induction programme and trustee training will be provided.
Remuneration
This is a voluntary role. Reasonable expenses are reimbursed in line with Iona Community policy.
Appointment and term of office
Trustees are normally appointed for a four-year term, with the possibility of re-appointment for one further term. Appointments are ratified by the membership of the Iona Community at the AGM.
We have three vacancies, with appointments taking effect from the AGM on Monday 29 June 2026.
