Portsmouth Homeless Families Service supports families to achieve their life goals, work towards longer term independent living, and change the face of homelessness. In the role you will work across our three residential Lifehouses, which accommodates a total of 45 homeless, vulnerable families (which include couples, single parents and pregnant mothers) with support needs. You will also support 32 families living in Local Authority Sublet tenancies and a further 14 families living in temporary housing.
Key Responsibilities: As a motivated and dynamic team member you will be assisting with the delivery of a high-quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control, enabling clients to achieve positive life changes and ultimately empower them to lead fulfilling lives. You will complete day to day activities including administration tasks, dealing with queries both face to face and over the phone, run activities with clients and support the successful operation of the Lifehouse.

There is a void at the property that we hope will be filled by a new gentleman soon. We provide support to people with learning disabilities together with additional support needs (physical disabilities and communication difficulties).
The gentleman likes to go and watch Derby County matches, and has a season ticket, and has several social activities he does. He likes to experience new things and will look to you to suggest innovative ideas.
There will also be shifts to cover at another service, which houses 3 gentlemen with varying needs. This service requires moving and handling.

The Youth Employability Service
CXK delivers the Youth Employability Service (YES) across East Sussex, commissioned by East Sussex County Council. We offer information, advice, support and guidance to young people in academic years 12 and 13 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), helping them to explore their options, plan and then take their next steps. We also work with schools supporting young people in year 11 who are at risk of becoming NEET. Liaising with a range of other services, YES is focussed on supporting young people to achieve their potential.
The Team
The YES team support young people from across the county, seeing them at CXK bases, partner venues or in community settings. The team assess and action plan with young people referred to the service, supporting them to understand their options and take steps toward achieving their goals around education, training and/ or employment. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Adviser.
The Youth Support Adviser (YSA) is a key role in the Youth Employability Service, acting as the first point of contact for 16-18-year-olds who are NEET or at risk of NEET. You will support with first appointments and initial assessments of need, when young people are referred to YES, alongside supporting your caseload. Guiding them through re-engagement with suitable post-16 provisions and provide targeted intervention to those who have withdrawn from or not started their Post 16 provisions.

We have Waking Night Support Worker opportunities for individuals to join our East Lothian Housing Support Teams based in Prestonpans.
At Autism Initiatives we provide specialist services tailored to each individual. Experience is not essential, but a genuine passion to making a difference to the lives of autistic people, as well as a positive attitude, is key to being successful in this role.
As a Waking Night Support Worker you will be working alongside the people that you support to develop their independence, by supporting their communication and enabling them to make their own choices. You will be responsible for providing support throughout the night, undertaking routines of the service including household tasks and administrative procedures.

As a Waking Night Support Worker you will promote the positive health and well-being of the people that you support, enabling them to have a meaningful life and encouraging them to live as independently as possible.
Given the nature of this role, successful applicants must register with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme and Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or equivalent regulatory body.
