We are looking for a committed and motivated Drug & Alcohol Recovery Worker to join our team. Working within an integrated healthcare framework, you will support adults (18+) who are experiencing problems with drugs and/or alcohol.
Our services are designed to deliver client-centred, evidence-based interventions that combine both harm reduction and abstinence approaches, depending on individual needs. You will manage a caseload, provide structured 1:1 and group interventions, deliver care plans, and ensure continuity of care through close collaboration with partner agencies.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives while contributing to key outcomes for service users, commissioners, and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload, carrying out assessments, risk management, and SMART care planning
- Deliver structured 1:1 interventions, group sessions, and treatment programmes
- Provide appropriate harm reduction advice and guidance
- Support clients in developing recovery plans tailored to their needs
- Work collaboratively with housing, healthcare, probation, employment, and other services to ensure through-care and integrated support

Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience working in substance misuse services
- Experience in assessments, risk management, and SMART care planning
- Skilled in delivering structured interventions and facilitating groups
- Proficient in motivational interviewing (1:1 and group settings)
- Strong IT and record-keeping skills
- Understanding of holistic care, continuity of care, and community services
- Experience promoting equality, diversity, and inclusive practice
Knowledge Required
- Strong understanding of issues faced by substance misusers
- Knowledge of the Recovery Agenda
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and responsibilities
Qualifications
Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
Desirable Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Knowledge and commitment to the 12-step recovery process
- Understanding of community support services and the criminal justice sector
- Lived experience of addiction or imprisonment (with at least 3 years’ clean time or 5 years since release, where applicable)
- Previous experience in a community or prison setting
- Experience utilising clinical supervision
- Knowledge of NHS health and wellbeing outcomes
- Additional qualifications in substance misuse
Applicants with lived experience of substance misuse should have at least three years of continuous recovery and be a minimum of three years post-discharge from structured treatment to be eligible for this role.

What does this role do?
As Dog Welfare Assistant, you’ll:
- provide daily care to the dogs in the rehoming centre, working to Dogs Trust's code of practice and Health and Safety guidelines,
- educate potential new owners and the general public on the care and welfare of their dogs,
- deliver excellent customer service to all visitors to the centre.

EAL TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: EAL TEACHER Responsible to: Director of Studies Main Purpose: To plan and execute a range of high-quality English lessons for pupils aged 8-17 years old, in line with the Sedbergh International Summer School curriculum, delivering and managing classes with energy and enthusiasm. To support our pupils as they improve their English language skills. Course Dates: The academic element of the course in 2026 will run for 4 weeks, and we will be offering contracts of varying lengths, depending on the candidates’ availability and experience and our student numbers. All candidates must attend on-site induction prior to the start date (outlined below). If candidates have holidays, weddings, graduations etc booked, they must mention this at the interview stage. Time off for such events cannot be guaranteed otherwise. The course is run on the Senior School campus (Sedbergh), with three London trips running throughout the course. Brighton College is seeking to appoint a Teacher of Economics to start in August 2026.
The Department
Economics is one of the highest performing departments in the school and one of the single most popular subjects at A-level. The department currently consists of five members of staff and there are over 200 pupils studying the subject across the Sixth Form. We follow the Edexcel specification and the results in recent years have been excellent, achieving 94% A* to A in both 2024 and 2025 exam series.
The department also has a comprehensive Oxbridge programme, with much recent success in this area, achieving thirteen offers in the past four years. Pupils participate in various competitions (e.g. they have won the IEA Budget Challenge Competition twice) and they also run the Brighton College Economics Society.
The renowned Keynesian economist, Lord Robert Skidelsky, is a former pupil and he was also Chairman of Governors at the College until 2016.
Role SpecificationThe successful candidate will be expected to teach Economics across the curriculum at A-level. An ability to contribute towards the department’s extension programme, including a willingness to support pupils with applications to leading universities (including Oxford and Cambridge), will be a distinct advantage.
All teachers within the department are expected to assist in the development of Schemes of Work, through the creation of teaching resources and the compilation of content for our Microsoft OneNote Notebooks and SharePoint.
Additionally, all teachers at Brighton College are expected to contribute to the school’s pastoral system, generally as a tutor in one of our 16 houses (of which six are boarding houses and ten are day).

Unsolicited Films is developing a grassroots UK screening tour for a completed 57-minute personal documentary, and is seeking a Freelance Screening Tour Coordinator to support the planning and venue-facing stages of the tour.
The film explores early childhood memory, urban wandering, personal mythology, and disillusionment with underground music subcultures. This tour will take place in 2026 (exact dates flexible). Screenings may occur in independent cinemas, community spaces, grassroots venues, and alternative arts spaces across the UK.
This is not a technical or on-site role; it is a remote coordination and communication role.

They’re seeking a compassionate and motivated Veteran Lead to deliver personalised, high-quality support to unpaid carers and their families across their full geographical area.

Bankhall court provides 24 hour care to seventeen adults with a diagnosis of Dementia We have a comfortable, homely environment. When people come Bankhall court we encourage people to live well with dementia and encourage each individual to achieve their personal outcomes throughout their dementia journey.

Bankhall Court is based in Govanhill, It is a residential Dementia service for 17 people who are supported to live well with various types of Dementia. It’s a safe, supportive environment where people can be encouraged to take part in various activities.
Hello, my name is Martin and I live in Bankhall Court. I enjoy living here I have made lots of new friends. I like to go out in the local community visiting cafes and especially the football Museum’s. My family are involved in my care and visit me often.
I like to have a laugh with staff and would like to be with staff who have a similar sense of humour.

Our Ideal candidate:
We’re looking for someone who combines strategic vision with hands-on delivery. You’ll bring:
- Expertise in Leadership Development with a proven track record of designing and evaluating impactful programmes.
- Strong coaching skills and experience supporting senior leaders.
- Digital fluency and confidence in leveraging technology for learning.
- Experience in succession planning and talent pipeline management within complex organisations.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills to drive change without direct authority.
- A degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) and a management qualification.
Desirable extras include MCIPD, coaching accreditations, and experience in the health and social care sector.
