The Role
Pass on your skills & experience to the students of RADA and join our busy Lighting Department
We are looking for an experienced theatre lighting professional to share in the training of our technical theatre students and to participate in the ongoing maintenance, upgrade and improvement of the Lighting Department.
The role will be primarily focussed on the mentoring and monitoring of the development of our TTSM students, giving regular assessments and feedback, and attending meetings in support of the students’ learning and welfare.
RADA runs a two-year FDA course in Technical Theatre Arts and Stage Management, with an optional subsequent completion year to progress the award to a BA. We also train a small number of postgraduates on our MA in Performance Lighting Design. Teaching is distributed across all years, with the majority of the initial teaching taking place in the first year.
Much of the tuition is in the form of mentoring the students as they work on public productions in our three theatres, with this taking place from the start of the course.
The role requires a committed, self-motivated person who works well in a team and can lead diplomatically, confidently and with care and attention to furthering RADA’s goals of creating dedicated, confident and skilled Theatre Professionals.

The Lighting Department consists of the Head of lighting, Deputy Head of Lighting/Tutor and regular freelance lighting designers, as well as a team of regular associate tutors. The team liaise with other technical departments and are line-managed by the Director of Technical Theatre Arts.

As a Women's Recovery Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, gender-responsive support to women experiencing substance misuse and multiple complex needs. You'll manage a caseload of 25 women, providing holistic, person-centred care and interventions to help them achieve their recovery goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support with practical issues such as finances, housing, and employment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive, strength-based recovery plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of client needs across various domains.
- Collaborate with partner agencies to ensure effective multi-agency working.
- Offer bespoke interventions in both group and individual settings.
What we are looking for:
- At least 2 years of experience working with women with multiple complex needs.

Phoenix House is a newly refurbished, stunning Edwardian property in South Manchester, offering a high‑quality therapeutic living environment for adults with mild to moderate mental health needs and learning disabilities. The house accommodates five residents, each with their own room within a safe, supportive, and recovery‑focused shared home.
This innovative service supports adults—many with histories of trauma or criminal justice involvement—to rebuild stability, improve mental health, develop independence, and safely reintegrate into the community. Outcomes include improved wellbeing, reduced risk, enhanced life skills, and meaningful progress towards independent living within 18–24 months.

Role Responsibility
As a Recovery Worker, you will work at the heart of the new Phoenix House team, helping to shape the therapeutic culture of this flagship service. You will support residents to achieve sustainable recovery, develop independence, and make positive life changes.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Provide daily emotional and practical support within a calm, therapeutic, homely environment
- Deliver structured key‑working sessions that promote recovery, resilience, and wellbeing
- Support residents to build independent living skills, routines, and confidence
- Work collaboratively with Manchester City Council, Probation Services, Positive Pathways Social Workers, mental health and substance use professionals

About the Role
As a Recovery Worker, you’ll be responsible for working with and motivating service users to engage in the recovery programmes we offer in Devon.
Our service welcomes people at any stage in their recovery journey, starting with the open end of harm reduction, through to brief interventions, extended interventions and structured treatment, and Recovery Workers offer support throughout.
Day to day duties include:
Working autonomously to manage a caseload of our service users, including delivering a range of psychosocial interventions.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to undertake ongoing assessments, risk assessments, and appropriate referrals within the community
Facilitating group sessions with a range of individuals of varying backgrounds.

The Role
We’re looking for a Recovery Worker to support individuals through their rehabilitation journey. You’ll work closely with residents, therapists, and partner agencies to ensure each person receives the tailored care they need to recover and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support and coordinate individual care plans
- Help service users register with GPs, access benefits, and attend appointments
