BHRC’s Africa programme works closely with a variety of stakeholders in Africato advance the eradication of human rights abuses by corporate actors with a particular emphasis on issues related to just energy transition, technology and human rights, corporate legal accountability and civic freedoms and human rights defenders. We seek to bring enhanced transparency to the conduct of business in the region; build and expand effective networks and interactions among groups that are interested in confronting the human rights impacts of business; strengthen local communities, NGOs, and human rights defenders to engage with companies to improve human rights protections; promote the responsible deployment and use of digital technologies.
Your tasks
Online research and inputs: find relevant news, commentaries, reports and court documents relating to just energy transition, human rights defenders, and labour rights in Francophone Africa.
Support Programme’s outputs: suggest key news items for our global Weekly Update (in English) and our French Monthly Update (in French) and help with the drafting process.
Additional Tasks: You may also be asked to assist the Africa programme and francophone team with general tasks, such as supporting our company response mechanism; liaising with team members; revising translations; etc.
Please note that this internship is not academically oriented and does not involve extensive analysis or writing. Rather, it is a practical internship focused on bringing regional and global attention to company conduct affecting people and communities, with the aim of promoting respect for human rights.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Social science studies: Currently in the final years in university, either studying law (LLB/LLM/JD or similar) or with a legal background, political science or similar.

The purpose of your role
Police Now is seeking an Operations Coordinator (Permanent) and Academy Coordinator (Fixed Term Contract) to work as part of the National Graduate Programme in the Programmes Team.
This role will include taking on responsibility for elements of the end-to-end Project Management and operational delivery of Police Now’s National Graduate Programme. This role is a critical part of programme delivery, supporting all aspects of programme delivery and primarily leading on administration and processes which support all programme delivery functions.
The role also plays a huge part in the delivery of our initial training academies, planning and delivering elements of event delivery of the training academy.
Core to success in the role will be the ability to work in a busy event delivery environment, maintaining high levels of attention to detail and demonstrating the ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thoroughly.
It is essential that the appointed candidate is able to work away from home and stay at the academies residentially in the Bedfordshire & Midlands areas for an average of two weeks per month from March until October. Accommodation and meals are provided. Exact dates will be provided.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership and effectively deliver numerous work strands, workstreams and tasks against project deadlines for the Police Now’s NGP Academy to the highest standard.
- Upload and maintain of programme data across different platforms such as Salesforce in line with GDPR with a focus on participants post academy.
- Take ownership of elements of programme and academy administration as directed by the team.
- Work closely with the wider operations team with the management and administration of internal and external communication channels, including participant communications, Police Now online platforms and staff communications.
- Take responsibility for tracking the budget, processing invoices, credit card reconciliation and expenses.
- Maintaining travel booking system and keeping consistent travel records for participants and Syndicate Leads (seconded police officers) as required.
- Manage the sourcing, delivery and distribution of necessary equipment e.g. Preparing event printed materials, supporting resource management for all events.
- Provide administrative support to the programme team, including but not limited to managing the inboxes, writing and sending newsletters, preparing documentation, record keeping, booking and taking minutes for meetings as required.
- Support the delivery of both in person and online programme events; from planning a day event end to end to resourcing and planning an online event by managing the technology, communicating requirements to staff and creating day timetables and schedules.

About the role
Our nationwide centres are hard at work assisting candidates sitting their English language tests through Trinity College London. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Centre Assistant Team Leader in our Portsmouth and Stratford test centres. We’re looking for individuals to help us forge this new path within the sports-tech industry.
After onboarding and training, the successful applicants will spend time in at least two different areas of Customer Success — Membership and Sales, Product and Logistics — gaining valuable exposure to different areas of business operations.
The successful applicants will spend up to three months based in our accommodation and office in Innsbruck, the capital of the beautiful North Tyrol region and a world-renowned snowsports destination.
Here, they’ll be provided with accommodation in our company flat in the city, with easy access to various resorts in Austria.

Outside time based in Austria, work will be based in our London office in Vauxhall, where we have a flexible work policy.

In the role, you will:
Process and respond to customer queries through all Carv communication channels
Answer incoming customer calls regarding billing issues, product queries and general customer concerns
Be at the forefront, helping to devise solutions and suggest improvements to any issues under the customer experience umbrella
Be part of a team of interns to help drive success by problem solving and turning frustrated clients into repeat customers Work on cases with other departments while in specific rotations

Ideal candidate:

The internship will be based from our London office, a short walk from Vauxhall.

Innsbruck is a vibrant and well-connected university town with ski resorts all over the local area — known as the “heart of the Alps” and the perfect mountain base.

Two phasings, one from September 2026 to March 2027 — and the other from November 2026 until April 2027.
This role is 37.5 hours per week worked on a rota with the other interns.
