Bay Tree House – Heysham, Lancashire Recovery House is a mental health crisis unit in Morecambe. We are working to a recovery model, and are accessed by referral as either hospital preventions, step down, respite and crisis point support. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a 24hour staffed service to our residents aged 16 and upwards.
About the role:
As a Day Recovery Worker, you will liaise with clinical teams to discuss referrals and clinical presentation of people using our services and make referral decisions based on this. You will support individuals who present in a range of ways, including low mood, depression, anxiety, mania, voice hearing, delusions, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts to develop their own coping strategies to deal with crisis situations. You will also participate in a group work programme to assist people using our services to deal with substance abuse, mental or physical illness, poverty, unemployment, or physical abuse.
You will attend home visits, virtual and/or phone calls with people accessing the service.
Additionally, there could be a possibility to take on additional smaller groups if needed, to support the service.

You will be highly organised and driven to see plans through to completion, as well as to evidence impact through monitoring and evaluation.
- This role will require you to be able to travel regularly and widely across the whole of the South West & South Central Region – a full driving licence would be desirable. You must be prepared to work evenings and weekends, with some overnight stays. You will be expected to work from our Taunton office at least once a week.

Worldwide, the pace of Bible translation has never been quicker – a full Bible or New Testament translation is being completed at a rate of 2 a week and a record number of translation programmes are in progress!
Working at the heart of the Church Relations team, you will ensure that the practical, operational, and logistical foundations are in place for others to do their work well. You will play in a vital role in how Wycliffe presents itself at events and festivals, support volunteer speakers, and encourage supporters and churches in fundraising and partnership.

- Own national event logistics to engage people with Bible translation

We are seeking a Recovery Navigator Volunteer within the Assessment and Fast Track team at Barnsley Recovery Steps.
At Barnsley Recovery Steps we recognise that everyone’s goals around making changes to their drug and alcohol use are different. Whatever people want to achieve we can support them to get there, whether this is making small changes, stopping completely, or reducing risk.
The role involves supporting clients from their first contact through their recovery journey.
Key duties include offering emotional support, completing assessments and related paperwork, and assisting with administrative tasks such as phone check-ins, reminder calls, and engaging disengaged clients. There is potential to support home visits or co-working on a caseload.

ABOUT THE ROLE AND WHAT TO EXPECTWe are currently looking for Community Carer Workers to join our fantastic Hospice at Home team.
- Our Dorothy House Hospice at Home team are committed to providing compassionate and personalised care to support anyone in the community requiring End of Life care in their own home.
- As a carer you will be expected to undertake all aspects of personal care (this can include washing/showering patients, managing bodily fluids including catheters and stomas and providing care after death) as well as provide emotional care and support to the patient and their family, treating them with respect, dignity and compassion at all times.
- Here at Dorothy House, we are proud to have our Tulip Certificate, one of the most successful and leading training programmes in the industry. You will be provided with full training and will have constant support from our incredible team while working with us.
- You will work as part of a multi professional team to deliver care to our high standard, working under the direct leadership and supervision of a Senior Care worker.
WHERE WILL I BE WORKING?
Our carers are community based and will occasionally work at our Winsley Hospice. This means that you will be expected to travel anywhere within our geographical catchment area, so access to your own vehicle is essential. (You will be reimbursed for your mileage at our agreed rate.)
Where possible, we try to keep you working in your local area, however, this is not always possible so a degree of flexibility is sometimes needed.

HOURS OF WORK
We have a full range both full and part time positions available and provide care both across the day and overnight 365 days a year. We are currently recruiting for Day Carers who can work shifts that cover our 07:00 - 22:00 care needs, including alternate weekends.
ABOUT YOU
No health or social care experience needed!
Although any previous experience of working in care would be an advantage. We are happy to consider anyone from any background, so long as they can demonstrate empathy and compassion with the passion to learn and develop.
Due to the nature of the role, you will need a full UK drivers licence with access to a vehicle.
