Our sessional Support Workers provide flexible cover to support our customers and residents at our services across Hansel with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, and social, leisure and recreational activities, as well as enabling them to develop meaningful relationships and establish links in the local community.
We are now recruiting for a Sessional Support Worker to join the sessional list in our North Ayrshire Supported Living Service.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Support Worker looking to take on a new challenge, those who have recently left college with a Social Care related qualification or those who perhaps have no practical or academic experience but can evidence that their values match those of the organisation and that they are motivated to work flexibly, supporting our customers in their lives. Experience in delivering formal social care supports or personal caring experience is desirable but not essential.
Essential criteria for the post include:

The sessional support worker will work as part of the Core Group staff at Lothlorien Community with a key focus on supporting residents to get the most out of their time at Lothlorien.
They will get involved in all aspects of community life including community meetings, work periods and therapeutic sessions. By building trusting relationships, the sessional support worker will contribute to creating a safe and supportive environment in which residents have the opportunity to develop the self-esteem, confidence and skills to work towards recovery and move forwards with their lives.

Red Rose House is our eight-guest room respite service offering short breaks for our visitors within the North Ayrshire area. The atmosphere at Red Rose House is vibrant, friendly and welcoming. Our visitors usually enjoy outings such as adapted go-karting, cycling, cinema, nature walks as well as more relaxing activities such as game nights.
We are currently looking for Sessional Support Workers to join our team.
The successful applicant will join our dedicated and friendly team, who support the health care needs of our customers as well as supporting them to enjoy their break in a way which reflects their individual choices, interests, wishes and aspirations. We ensure our visitors are given an opportunity to achieve all they can and make full use of resources within the community while staying at Red Rose House.
Flexibility to work a rota that includes days, evenings, nights, and weekends is essential for this post. Shift patterns are day shift - 8am to 9pm and night shift - 9pm to 8am.

The Family Support Manager is a key staff role which involves working with families and facilitating support from volunteers recruited from the local church and community.
You would work as part of the South West team which includes Devon, Plymouth, Wiltshire, Dorset, Bristol and Cardiff, and you will need to be able to travel and work predominantly across Somerset, specifically South Somerset and Mendip.
You would be involved from initial referral from Local Authority, through to official completion of Safe Families’ support, including risk assessment of a family situation, identifying goals, matching and introducing volunteers, providing on-going mentoring and support to volunteers and assessing when outcomes have been achieved. Your objective is to help support families navigate challenging circumstances through connecting them into local volunteer based, sustainable support.
The role requires experience of working with children, families or other vulnerable groups, and knowledge and application of safeguarding principles and processes. It is an incredibly exciting role where you would have the privilege of seeing how the simplest of actions, often from dedicated volunteers, really can bring hope and transformation to families and care leavers.

We are seeking two part time Family Hub Support Workers to join the Early Years Alliance team in Luton. Working within the Flying Start/Family Hub team, delivering services across the town, providing high quality universal and targeted services for families. The role will focus on the under-fives sessions but also signposting to wider family services. It will promote the Best Start in Life offer including; amongst others, healthy infant feeding practices, parent infant relationships, child development and provide wider family support, with the aim of improving the life chances of children. Main Duties:
- Plan and deliver high quality focused and universal sessions, including the evaluation of all sessions and activities to encourage the engagement of parents in their children’s learning, development, health and wellbeing, at various locations in Luton.
- Provide support to new parents across Luton’s diverse communities to help develop secure attachments and build strong parent/infant relationships.
- Provide infant feeding information to families within sessions to encourage breastfeeding and promote responsive feeding to encourage healthy infant feeding practices and the parent/infant relationship.
- Signpost and support families to access 2-year and 3-year funding entitlement as part of a whole family approach.
- Contribute to raising awareness of the Best Start in Life offer for families, the Family Hub/Flying Start services alongside other local public health initiatives.
- Work closely with health services to enable mothers to access the right services at the earliest point in their parenting journey. Actively promote the importance of the 1001 critical days.
- Provide accurate information by phone, email, in writing and in person to the families and professionals who contact the Family Hub/Flying Start working in a multi partnership approach with vulnerable families, health, social care teams and other professionals.

Dragon School has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Maintenance Operative to join the team.
The Maintenance Operative will be responsible on a daily basis to the Maintenance Manager, and will be line managed by the Head of Estates. The main responsibilities will focus on carrying out maintenance, repairs and general upkeep of the School’s buildings and fabric at both the Prep and Pre-Prep school sites, and across all boarding and residential properties. They are responsible for coordinating and ensuring the works carried out by the Maintenance team is completed to the standard expected by the Dragon, in accordance with the Health and Safety Policy and Guidelines. This includes maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical and related systems. Where they are competent to do so, they should proactively conduct repairs and renewals in pursuance of this function.
