Acorn at Mulberry Bear is a 62 place day nursery in Milton Keynes, which offers full and part-time care for children aged four months to four years, and is open 7:30am until 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, all year round.

Purpose
Located at our Romford and Basildon sites, you will be teaching BTEC Caring for Children to young people aged 13-16. You will be working alongside the SENDCo, Teaching and Learning Manager and a group of GCSE, Entry Level and Practical Skills Tutors.
Students are referred to our alternative education programme and are often challenging (academically and/or behaviourally). You will take an active role in helping to equip students with the skills they will require to progress on to further education, an apprenticeship and work.
Key Areas
- Delivering Caring for Children to small groups of students (normally a maximum of twelve)
- Developing schemes of work and lesson plans
- Complete the marking of work and assessment for learning within the BTEC department.

Overall Responsibility

This is an established post working with an Evangelical CofE church - to take up the continuing challenge of finding ways of passing on the Christian faith both to those whose parents are part of the congregation and to others in the community too.
We are looking for...
- Someone with an enthusiasm to lead, enable and develop our ministries to children, offering bible teaching and social activities to help build a life-long faith in Christ and to encourage personal growth.
- We are open to candidates at a variety of stages in their lives and/or experience of ministry. That means we’d very much consider:
- A person who has done some Christian Children’s ministry as a volunteer and is beginning to explore whether this kind of role might be for them.
- We would also be very interested in a candidate with significant maturity and experience in this area of ministry, who would able to take on responsibility for strategy, co-ordination, and equipping of volunteers.
- Or anyone in between…

Centred is a progressive charitable company based in the Highlands that supports people through mental ill health toward mental well-being. Our Centred Recovery Centre, based in Inverness, is a centre that provides support and accommodation for up to 23 service users.
We are looking to recruit a Senior Social Care Practitioner. You will provide support to a team of practitioners, experience in Health and Social Care is required.

- Is flexible around service requirements, including flexibility with shift patterns.

You’ll also:
- Collaborate with partners, identifying what children and their families need to make lasting positive change, and support children and young people to achieve permanence - whether this be in the care of the Trust, reunification with their parents or extended family.
- Support and advocate for children in care, ensuring their voices are heard in all decision making.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments and work collaboratively with families to develop plans that are led by their strengths, needs, and aspirations.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Monitor and review the progress of children in care, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Provide emotional and practical support to children, helping them navigate challenges and build resilience.
- Work to achieve permanency and outstanding outcomes for children and young people through relationship-based practice.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- A DIPSW or equivalent qualification and are registered with the Social Work England as a qualified social worker.
- A full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes - adjustments can be considered for candidates with a disability.
- Expertise in managing the delivery of quality outcomes for children and young people.
- An ability to build strong relationships with children, their families, colleagues and partner agencies.
- An ability to write high-quality reports and assessments and analyse information effectively.
- Experience of managing a caseload in a statutory setting, with ability to problem solve, negotiate and manage conflict.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, for positive engagement with children and families and productive relationship building in a multi-agency environment.
