The service supports individuals with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement as part of their Community Supervision Licence, helping them prepare for returning to the community upon release. Our service is also available to unsentenced men on remand awaiting sentencing.
About the Role
You’ll be based primarily at HMP Parc (Bridgend) and HMP Swansea, working closely with Probation resettlement colleagues and directly with service users on the prison wings. At times, you may also support the service at HMP Cardiff, HMP Usk, or HMP Prescoed, depending on operational need.
In this role, you’ll deliver housing-focused interventions to improve housing opportunities and prevent homelessness for men on probation or approaching release. You’ll ensure holistic assessments are completed, make onward referrals to specialist services, and work collaboratively with prison, probation, and housing partners to achieve positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering 1:1 housing advice and interventions for men in custody or on probation in South Wales
- Completing housing needs assessments and developing structured action plans
- Actively engaging with Camau objectives to prevent homelessness and improve housing options
- Liaising with landlords, agents, and housing providers to source suitable accommodation
- Negotiating tenancy agreements and ensuring all properties meet Rent Smart Wales and safety standards
- Building and maintaining relationships with local authorities, registered social landlords, and private sector partners across Gwent, South Wales, and Dyfed Powys
- Supporting service users to access Forward Connect and other Forward Trust services
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong knowledge of housing and welfare benefits systems

We are looking for a Senior Construction Skills Tutor to join our Learning, Training & Employment team. Helping people who have experienced homelessness to develop their skills, improve their well being, and move towards independent living is a fundamental part of our mission to support people in rebuilding their lives.
This role will deliver an engaging and effective programme of accredited multi-skills training across a range of construction disciplines. The post holder will create a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where clients can build confidence, well being, and routine.
As a Senior Construction Skills Tutor, you will:
- Deliver engaging and effective tuition to clients, supporting them to achieve an accredited multi-skills construction qualification.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local hostel managers to promote the programme and increase client participation.
- Help set up our new training hub in Bristol
About You
We are seeking an empathetic and proactive individual who can share their skills, motivate others, and inspire confidence. A formal teaching or training qualification is not essential — we are looking for someone who is passionate, committed, and able to use their trade experience and life skills to provide consistent, person-centred support to people rebuilding their lives.
You will have:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients and foster positive relationships.
- A flexible approach, with a willingness to work across multiple sites.
- An understanding of the importance of client involvement and a person-centred approach to achieving the best outcomes.

Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioners work in small collaborative teams to provide people with recovery focused support to enhance their mental wellbeing. Westway Trust are seeking experienced and qualified Adult Learning Tutors to join their expanding tutor team to deliver accredited and non-accredited Digital Skills courses to adult learners in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC) area. This is a part-time, term-time role.
The primary responsibility of the Digital Skills Tutor will be to design and deliver high quality, learner-centred teaching, and learning and assessment experiences to our employed and unemployed adult learners from Entry level to Level 1, while supporting the Adult and Community Learning Manager to achieve the Trust’s strategic objectives.

Westway Trust is a community-guided organisation located in North Kensington which runs an adult learning programme of accredited and non-accredited provision across a range of subjects. We aim to enable people to progress in work, in learning and in life. Our learners come from a variety of backgrounds and have different prior experiences of learning.
Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Teaching
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality teaching and learning sessions, workshops, and tutorials in line with the curriculum requirements and the needs of individual learners, ensuring learning objectives are met
- Assess learners’ abilities and identify areas for improvement, tailoring teaching and learning methods and resources accordingly
- Rigorously monitor and track learners’ progress, providing regular feedback and implementing strategies to address areas of weakness or underperformance
- Set and mark assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to learners to support their learning and improvement
- Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, actively promoting learner participation, motivation, and confidence in professional development
- Maintain accurate records of learners’ attendance, progress, and assessment outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
Administration
- To carry out and keep records of initial and diagnostic assessments, identifying areas for improvement, tailoring teaching and learning methods and resources accordingly
- To identify materials and equipment/resource needs to assist the provision of teaching and learning by students
- To develop differentiated Individual Learning Plans with students, monitor and track learners’ progress, providing regular feedback and strategically addressing areas of weakness maintaining up to date course files and submitting accurate data on attendance and achievement within agreed deadlines
- Preparing groups of learners for accredited assessment (exam or portfolio) & non-accredited assessment (RARPA), marking assessments and taking part in internal moderation and/or consultation meetings with appropriate Trust staff
Qualifications:
- Teaching or training qualification for working in adult learning (e.g. PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS or equivalent suitable experience)
- A minimum GCSE English Grade C or equivalent.
- Level 3 or higher in a relevant subject (e.g. ICT) or willingness to work towards a Digital Skills teaching qualification (desirable).
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Practical work experience as an ICT Tutor, demonstrating hands-on knowledge and skills applicable to real-world scenarios
- Experience of teaching adult learners and an understanding of appropriate teaching strategies in a similar role
- Experience of devising course outlines and schemes of work
- Experience of managing mixed groups of learners
- Knowledge and experience of working with a variety of exam boards
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team

We are looking for a Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioner to join our amazing MHARS team.
You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside Community Mental Health Team, providing a crisis line; an open access, single point of telephone access for self-referral and agency referrals. You will respond to calls in a manner guided by the service principles being inclusive, sensitive and respectful.
From the moment you answer the telephone, you will listen and ensure that you understand the issues that have led to crisis for that person, providing an immediate response to those whose life may be in immediate danger. Understanding each person’s unique situation resulting in fast, tailored support and finding ways to successfully resolve the crisis situation and assist planning for the future.
Once the initial period of crisis has been addressed you will support connections to additional, statutory or community support and/or deliver a Distress Brief Intervention (DBI) response to those in distress. This will involve community-based problem-solving support, wellness and distress management planning, supporting connections and signposting for a period of up to 14 days. You will be flexible and responsive, offering the medium of support that the supported person feels most comfortable with.
You will assist people who use the service to establish and maintain a meaningful and fulfilling life in the community. Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioners play a central role in the planning and provision of quality, recovery focused support to people who use the service.

Staff are on site 24 hours per day to provide support when required and there are a variety of shifts available. You will be provided with any training required.

We have 22 residents in Largs. Some of the residents have tremendous social lives and enjoy weekly visits to the Disco, Bowling, Swim Clubs and going to the local pub to watch the football or to have a few games of pool. Some residents prefer to spend time at home watching movies, having a chat and going to do their weekly shop with their staff. The majority of the residents in Largs get essential support which includes preparing meals, administering medication, assistance with finances and housework. The residents all have different capabilities, needs and all staff will be provided with training and support.
