This is an exciting new opportunity to for a warm and approachable Parent/Carer Teenlife Facilitator to join our Norfolk and Suffolk team to deliver the National Autistic Society (NAS) Teen Life Course to parents and carers of autistic young people. This is a home-based role with regular travel to deliver face-to-face sessions in community settings. The Teen Life Course supports parents and carers to better understand autism during adolescence and to develop practical strategies to support their young person’s wellbeing, independence, and transition to adulthood. Family Action will fund the Train the Trainer course which is a 2-day online course, ongoing registration fees and all travel costs.
We are looking for someone who has experience of working with autistic young people, parents or carers (professionally or lived experience) and is confident in delivering structured programmes both face to face and online. The successful candidate will need to have strong communications and group facilitations skills and understands autism, particularly in relation to adolescence and family life.
Main Responsibilities:
• Delivering the NAS Teen Life Course to groups of parents and carers
• Creating a safe, welcoming space where people feel comfortable sharing and learning
• Guiding discussions around adolescence, wellbeing, relationships, independence and transitions
• Using NAS materials to deliver engaging, supportive sessions

1. To work closely in a small team to deliver the Teenlife Autism Programme to parents and carers of children and young people recently diagnosed with autism.
2. To accept referrals from approved partners for parents and carers who would benefit from the course, identifying accessibility and logistics of course locations and keeping partners informed of these.
3. Arrange, advertise and book parents onto courses and maintain a waiting list if necessary.
4. To co-present 6-week Teen Life course 4 -6 sessions per year across locations in Suffolk and North East Essex and online via Zoom.
5. To signpost parents to other specific support services if requested after course delivery and complete a follow up evaluation after 6 weeks
6. To collate qualitative and quantitative data from attendees to support internal and external reporting requirements using agreed and approved methods

The Leeds Institute of Health Sciences (LIHS) invites applications for a Clinical Lecturer /Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist in the Division of Psychological and Social Medicine. As a Clinical Academic in Psychological Medicine, the focus of the role will be the development and delivery of high-quality teaching including contribution to the MBChB curriculum and our postgraduate CPD programme. Our aim is that all Leeds graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills to integrate mental health care into general medical practice and advocate for patient wellbeing whatever speciality they enter.
You will be a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent and be clinically active in Psychiatry. You will spend a maximum of five programmed activity sessions per week on academic work and a minimum of three programmed activity sessions per week on clinical work. Being clinically active you will contribute to the delivery of up to date, excellent educational programmes responsive to the needs of the current and future NHS workforce. You will have the opportunity to benefit from the research culture and activities within the school to help you deliver research-informed teaching. Administration duties will also be expected.
The clinical component of the post can be negotiated with a relevant clinical provider once the post has been offered. Once this occurs, in accordance with Clinical appointment process, Royal College approval and a second stage interview with an Advisory Appointments Committee will be required. This will be a joint clinical academic appointment, with the post-holder holding a contract of employment with the University and an honorary contract with the relevant NHS Trust / other clinical provider.
In line with the Follett Report recommendations, the post-holder will be expected to participate in joint job planning and appraisal.

Westway Trust are seeking experienced and qualified Adult Learning Tutors to join their expanding tutor team to deliver accredited and non-accredited Digital Skills courses to adult learners in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC) area. This is a part-time, term-time role.
The primary responsibility of the Digital Skills Tutor will be to design and deliver high quality, learner-centred teaching, and learning and assessment experiences to our employed and unemployed adult learners from Entry level to Level 1, while supporting the Adult and Community Learning Manager to achieve the Trust’s strategic objectives.

Westway Trust is a community-guided organisation located in North Kensington which runs an adult learning programme of accredited and non-accredited provision across a range of subjects. Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Teaching
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality teaching and learning sessions, workshops, and tutorials in line with the curriculum requirements and the needs of individual learners, ensuring learning objectives are met
- Assess learners’ abilities and identify areas for improvement, tailoring teaching and learning methods and resources accordingly
- Rigorously monitor and track learners’ progress, providing regular feedback and implementing strategies to address areas of weakness or underperformance
- Set and mark assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to learners to support their learning and improvement
- Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, actively promoting learner participation, motivation, and confidence in professional development
- Maintain accurate records of learners’ attendance, progress, and assessment outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
Administration
- To carry out and keep records of initial and diagnostic assessments, identifying areas for improvement, tailoring teaching and learning methods and resources accordingly
- To identify materials and equipment/resource needs to assist the provision of teaching and learning by students
- To develop differentiated Individual Learning Plans with students, monitor and track learners’ progress, providing regular feedback and strategically addressing areas of weakness maintaining up to date course files and submitting accurate data on attendance and achievement within agreed deadlines
- Preparing groups of learners for accredited assessment (exam or portfolio) & non-accredited assessment (RARPA), marking assessments and taking part in internal moderation and/or consultation meetings with appropriate Trust staff
Qualifications:
- Teaching or training qualification for working in adult learning (e.g. PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS or equivalent suitable experience)
- A minimum GCSE English Grade C or equivalent.
- Level 3 or higher in a relevant subject (e.g. ICT) or willingness to work towards a Digital Skills teaching qualification (desirable).
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Practical work experience as an ICT Tutor, demonstrating hands-on knowledge and skills applicable to real-world scenarios
- Experience of teaching adult learners and an understanding of appropriate teaching strategies in a similar role
- Experience of devising course outlines and schemes of work
- Experience of managing mixed groups of learners
- Knowledge and experience of working with a variety of exam boards
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team

Job Description:
This is a casual role to support the operational resilience of the service. Shifts will be offered on an ad-hoc basis, mainly to provide cover for annual leave and sickness.
The service is operational 7 days per week between 10am - 10pm, so flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service.
About the service:
Steam House Cafes are purpose designed mental health crisis cafes across Norfolk & Suffolk. We offer a unique and safe cafe-styled space with a fully-trained multi-disciplinary team, offering holistic support to adults experiencing mental health crisis – day and night.
Drawing on experiences and learnings from decades of assistance to those most vulnerable in our community, STEAM provides clients with a calming and informed environment beneficial to their needs.
Each cafe provides guidance, support and personalised pathway plans, which are mindfully coproduced over a period of time with our team, to enhance future wellbeing for the client.
Main Responsibilities:
- To work in conjunction with managers and other key agencies in developing both policy and associated practice that meet the combined needs of the client group
- To provide individual and bespoke support, information, signposting and access to appropriate and relevant services for those wishing to access the crisis hub
- To be involved in supporting those who have low resilience and are at risk of, or are experiencing a mental health crisis
- To liaise with managers or other appropriate persons to ensure the safety of clients and staff
- To liaise with external agencies regarding presenting clients and any relevant history or risk factors
- Support clients to help identify individual needs and coping strategies, and to help provide and encourage a supportive and safe environment as an alternative to contacting emergency services or attending A&E
- To encourage clients to share knowledge and feedback, in order to provide a holistic and efficient service
- To record and evaluate the impact of interventions using appropriate evaluation tools
- Ensure that appropriate records and documentation are inputted in a timely manner and stored securely on the Access Community Trust (Access) Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring concerns are reported to the relevant person(s)
- To undertake specific and specialised training in order to support the vulnerable client group and maintain continued professional development through attending agreed training and conferences
- To work collaboratively as part of a Multi-Disciplinary team and contribute to Team discussions
- To provide interventions that are evidence based, and to follow client centred principles. This will involve assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the outcomes of interventions, and maintaining appropriate records
