What we expect from you
- Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) (or working towards it). If you have an equivalent qualification, you must be willing to undertake (and complete within 18 months) the Level 5 diploma once in post.
- Experience of working with looked after children and young people, in a residential setting.
- Experience of managing and supervising staff.
- The knowledge, experience and confidence to successfully register with OFSTED.
- The ability to manage challenging, and stressful situations, remain calm whilst inspiring your children and team through the difficult situation.
- The ability to maintain good monitoring of Quality and Assurance across your service.
- The ability to provide inspirational leadership to your team, supervising and leading your team. Whilst maintaining good communication at all levels.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team including commissioners and external professionals / parents.
- The confidence and ability to lead an Ofsted inspection, aspiring to achieve a GOOD or Outstanding outcome.
- The ability and willingness to learn to use BCFT electronic systems.
- The ability to nurture and support your team to achieve excellence for the children.

We’re growing our Community Team at Acorns Children's Hospice Trust! We have an exciting opportunity in our Three Counties Hospice, Worcester for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join the team. In this new role, you’ll deliver holistic care to children and young people with a range of complex health needs, life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in the community.
About the Role
Acorns provides care for babies, children and young people, who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Our Community Healthcare Assistants are part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team delivering care packages that are tailored to each child’s individual holistic needs.
As a Children’s Palliative Community Healthcare Assistant, you will:
- Work under the direction of the registered nurse to provide care in a variety of settings outside of the hospice
- Independently provide personalised care of children, young people and families as per the child’s holistic care plan and identify changes in condition, ensuring these are escalated to the registered nurse
- Empower children, young people and their relatives to make decisions about their care and to exercise choice
- Help ensure that children and young people are introduced to and encouraged to engage in a wide range of stimulating and creative activities by interaction and play, both indoors and outdoors, encouraging the use of local community facilities where appropriate
- Travel within a designated geographic area to visit patients in their homes or community settings
About You
- Care Certificate or willing to work towards
- Previous community and lone working experience
- Previous experience of working with children with complex health needs
- Ability to provide care sensitively, taking into account culture, beliefs and wishes
- Knowledge of procedures related to safeguarding adults and children
- Ability to travel independently around the Acorns region

New Vision Bradford is a partnership between Waythrough, the Bridge Project, Project 6 and Creative Strength. Under this umbrella, the partnership delivers an adult substance misuse service for the Bradford District. We provide a safe environment for people to develop life skills and confidence, ultimately enabling them to rebuild their lives and become active, contributing members of the Bradford community.About the role...We are looking to appoint Sessional Recovery Coordinators on a fixed term basis, under the New Vision Bradford umbrella to work as part of a team to provide collaborative recovery planning and case management to substance misusers (drug and alcohol) across all stages of the individuals’ recovery journey, from assessment and engagement through to sustained recovery.Other duties will include:
- Manage an adult caseload of a variety of substance use issues, opiate/non opiate and alcohol
- Devising, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans.
- Facilitate and promote individuals’ progression from initial engagement, through structured treatment, to self-sustained recovery.
- Reduce substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
- Working collaboratively with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and well-being outcomes for individuals.

What you can expect…
You will be working as a Support Worker at our 7 bed children's residential home, situated in a residential area in Sedgley. The home is easily accessible via public transport from Wolverhampton. You will be providing care and support for children and young people up to the age of 18 with learning disabilities, Autism, ADHD and associated behavioural challenges, children accommodated at the home may also present with sensory impairments and minor physical disabilities. Our children and young people may have experienced trauma and/or neglect prior to coming into care. This role requires a high amount of energy, passion and willingness to go “above and beyond” for the young people we care for.

- Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare or Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce (Social Care Pathway), candidates who are successful and do not hold this qualification will be supported to complete this after passing their probation.
- You will also have experience of working with children and young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities, Autism, ADHD, sensory impairment, and associated behavioural challenges and/or complex care needs.
- Car drivers are preferred – but not essential - as part of the role involves taking the children to appointments, to school, and to activities in the community.

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for two passionate and proactive Upstream Practitioner’s to join our Team based in Bournemouth.
About us
Centrepoint is the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity. We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. We provide homeless young people with accommodation, mental health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037. Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.
The roles
We have two permanent Upstream Practitioner roles available, which are both school based and are part of our policy and prevention directorate. They will report to the Senior Upstream Practitioner and as a team, you will play a key role in our pre-16 prevention pilot, helping to identify and address the root causes of youth homelessness.
We have one full-time role and one term-time role available. Both roles are 37.5 hours per week and will be based in The Bourne Academy. The full-time role is working over 52 weeks and includes annual leave entitlement in line with Centrepoint’s policy. The term-time role is working over 41 weeks per year (39 weeks during term time plus 2 additional weeks). This role does not include annual leave. Instead, the annual leave is paid in addition to the salary.
The successful candidates will need to be available week commencing 23rd March Monday to Friday in Manchester, to undertake Level 4 mediation training with UK Mediation. All expenses will be paid for by Centrepoint.

- Delivering a school-based early intervention programme aimed at preventing youth homelessness
- Administering the Upstream Survey to students aged 11–16 to help identify hidden riskfactors
- Managing and maintaining a caseload of young people, carrying out holistic assessments to understand their wellbeing, relationships, and home life, working proactively with them and their families before issues escalate to crisis point
- Leading and delivering workshops and providing early intervention support focused on emotional wellbeing, resilience, healthy relationships, and independent living skills
- Working closely with schools, families, and community services to support sustained positive outcomes
- Collecting, monitoring, and recording impact data to track progress and support continuous improvement
What we’re looking for
- Experience supporting children, young people, and families in a preventative or early intervention context
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with young people, families, and professionals
- Strong skills in completing risk assessments and managing safeguarding concerns and be committed to safeguarding and trauma-informed practices
- Knowledge of local services and referral pathways
- Ability to work independently within a school-based environment while collaborating with partner agencies
- Interest in using data and evaluation to inform and improve practice
- A relevant qualification or experience in Family Support, Mediation, Social Work, or a related field is desirable

As a Scrub Practitioner/ Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our hospital, you’ll be focused, detail-oriented empathetic with great communication skills. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital
Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital is a 30 bedded hospital within walking distance of the city centre with free onsite car parking. The hospital has two laminar flow operating theatres and two minor treatment rooms in the outpatient department. There is a small radiology department and CT/ MRI services are provided in a mobile unit. Inpatient physiotherapy is provided within the hospital whilst our outpatients attend the fitness and wellbeing centre at Chichester gate for their follow up physio and hydrotherapy treatments. Our main speciality is orthopaedics. We also care for patients needing treatment within the specialties of gynaecology, urology, general surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology max fax, and pain. We provide outpatient services for dermatology, cardiology, neurology, and rheumatology

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven part-time FE Day Care Support Worker (Fixed Term) to join our thriving Education Team in supporting our learners to achieve their Person-Centred Plan/EHCP outcomes.
The ideal candidate will be friendly and empathetic, with a positive attitude. Ideally, they will have some experience in working with individuals with challenging and complex needs and disabilities.
A day in this varied role could include providing support with eating and drinking; administering medication; providing personal care; and liaising with external agencies, such as parents/carers and care providers.
