At the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust we are involved in creating and conserving wetlands and the species who live in them. At Washington Wetland Centre we develop and maintain visitor areas which provide enjoyable areas which enhance the visitor experience.
What you will be doing:
- Cleaning and tidying of hides to include litter picking, sweeping out, window cleaning and shelf cleaning
- Maintaining approaches to hides
Volunteering as Hide Cleaner at WWT Washington is a great opportunity to get to see some of our best wildlife from the hides while you work, interact with a range people, including staff and visitors, and make a valuable difference to the upkeep and presentation of our reserve.
Volunteers are an essential part of the WWT team. You'll get a warm welcome, including information on training, equipment and anything else you need.

Overview of position
The International Journal of Language and Communication Disorders (IJLCD) is the RCSLT’s international, peer-reviewed journal, which publishes research focusing on speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, and other relevant aspects of speech & language therapy.
We are seeking a new Associate Editor for the IJLCD to join our supportive editorial team.
The role of Associate Editor offers the post-holder the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the dissemination of quality research in speech & language therapy.
What we are looking for
The successful candidate for this position will:
- Have a PhD in a relevant academic discipline
- Possess a proven track record (peer-reviewed publications, presentations at conferences, and/or other research enabling activities) within paediatric / child-focused research
- Have experience of carrying out peer-review
- Commit to carrying out the role for a minimum term of three years
- Be able to participate in four editorial meetings a year
Experience as an SLT and membership of the RCSLT is desirable.

The flat is attached to Cranford Avenue, as part of the tied accommodation. This is tied accommodation where rent is payable at a discounted rate and will be discussed in more detail at interview.

Provide comprehensive administrative and coordination activities to support service delivery for a range of complex repair projects, ensuring appropriate protocols are always adhered to and financial impacts recorded. Activity will include scheduling of appointments, liaising with contractors, compiling and evaluating disclosure documents.
About you
We are looking for someone with (to be taken from essential criteria)
• Experience of scheduling / diary management ideally within a repairs environment
• Proven track record of providing administrative services including accurate record keeping
• Experience of maintaining databases and proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to show initiative and propose solutions to issues identified

Role Profile
• Maintain all appropriate records and reports including payments, post inspection of works, collating information for databases with stock records, disrepair logs, stock condition records, asbestos etc.

Salary: £34,862 per annum

The role
We are seeking to recruit a Deputy Manager to provide high quality care to ‘looked after children’ who may have had numerous placement breakdowns and who can present difficult challenging behaviours.

You should hold a Diploma level 3 Health and Social Care, Children and Young People or an equivalent qualification and experience of working in a similar environment.
