We support a fantastic gentleman with a brain injury and cerebral palsy. He uses a wheelchair but can crouch, and he communicates verbally with a little extra help from pictures. He’s full of personality, loves a good laugh, and is always up for some friendly banter! Technology is his absolute passion—he’s a real tech enthusiast—but when things don’t go to plan, it can be a bit of a challenge. With the right positive behaviour support (which he really benefits from), you’ll help him enjoy the things he loves most and keep those good vibes flowing!

Shift Pattern:
Long Day Sleep-In Shifts: 7am – 10pm + sleep from 10pm - 7am
Day Shifts: 7am - 10pm; Early 7am - 2:30pm; Late - 2:30pm -10pm
There will be a requirement to work as part of a rota, this could include sleep-in duties.
The role will involve:
- Helping people learn the skills they need to live the life they choose
- Personal care
- Support with shopping, housework including cleaning and laundry
- Supporting with medication
- Supporting and encouraging people to find opportunities in education, employment and leisure, and enable them to take part in these opportunities

You will be supporting two active gentleman within our Supported living setting, taking them out in the community to local Zumba classes or walking in the National Trust Parks. As a support worker you will assist people with daily living tasks which may include, domestic services, social support and help with finances, personal care, support with medication and meal preparation. We deliver creative, dynamic and person-centred services providing a range of individualised support to people living in shared supported living properties on a 1.1 basis. Real Life Options is a registered charity currently going through a period of growth, and we are continuing to search for permanent contracted Support Workers who really want to make an impact on the lives of the people we support.
The role
Across all services, the individuals we support have autism, learning disabilities and at times can display challenging behaviour, therefore you must have the ability to follow detailed support plans in order to ensure a consistent approach. Permanent Contracted hours: Full Time/Part Time Previous experience is essential with PEG full training will also be provided. Driving is desirable.
