We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join the Phoenix Futures team as a Therapeutic Worker at our new and innovative Trauma Responsive Women’s Therapeutic Community Residential Service, Ophelia House.
The Role
- Effectively manage a small caseload of less than five women, conducting assessments and developing personalised care plans that cater to their unique needs
- Embrace our“community as method” modelto work not only with users of our services but their families and wider surrounding networks to ensure that everyone is equipped with the tools, knowledge and approaches, all essential to a long-term recovery
- Deliver therapeutic groups, activities, and specialised interventionsas per the Therapeutic Community manual and service needs
- Champion an environment and a culture that, as well as being safe and compliant, trulyfosters compassion and development
- Manage and co-ordinate the care process for service users, from admission to discharge planning
Please note that you will work on a 4 week rolling rota involving evening, night and weekend work.

We are looking for a committed and motivated Drug & Alcohol Recovery Worker to join our team. Working within an integrated healthcare framework, you will support adults (18+) who are experiencing problems with drugs and/or alcohol.
Our services are designed to deliver client-centred, evidence-based interventions that combine both harm reduction and abstinence approaches, depending on individual needs. You will manage a caseload, provide structured 1:1 and group interventions, deliver care plans, and ensure continuity of care through close collaboration with partner agencies.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Do you want to work for an organisation that makes a real difference, every day, to people from all walks of life? This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to BIAS’s mission of reducing social isolation among older Irish people and creating a warm and welcoming space for the whole community.
The Active Ageing Coordinator will run BIAS’s very popular twice-weekly active ageing lunch clubs in Dollis Hill and Cricklewood (see more information here), which attract over 50 attendees per session, working with a team of volunteers to coordinate activities including Irish music, dancing and bingo. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic person who is happy to take a hands-on approach to the development and delivery of our active ageing project. You will need to have strong people skills and the ability to build positive relationships with volunteers and service users, along with excellent organisational abilities.
The project (funded by the Irish Government’s Emigrant Support Programme) will also involve delivering occasional special events for club members, such as St Patrick’s Day and Christmas celebrations and health and wellbeing days. You will need a strong capacity to build relationships and partnerships with other organisations and community groups in the borough, and a willingness to work with the leadership team on the marketing and development of the clubs, including via social media.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Take the lead on the day-to-day running of BIAS’s two active ageing clubs in Brent, ensuring that they are welcoming, accessible and available to all.

Carry out administrative tasks necessary for the successful running of the clubs, including shopping for club supplies, preparing refreshments, setting up music, organising entertainment and banking attendance fees, working within agreed budgets.

Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all club members during club sessions, and manage occasional communication with members outside of club sessions.

Record and maintain member and attendance information in BIAS’s client management system.

Working in close cooperation with BIAS’s Volunteer Manager, encourage volunteer recruitment and retention and supervise volunteers during club sessions, ensuring that they have a safe working environment and a positive, fulfilling volunteering experience.

Contribute to the promotion of the active ageing clubs via the local community and social media, including by representing BIAS at occasional community events.

Organise an annual summer outing for club members, and work closely with the leadership team on the organisation of a Christmas event for the wider BIAS community.

These are the basic duties required of the Active Ageing Coordinator. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and you may be required from time to time to perform other reasonable duties which are required for the efficient running of the organisation. Fostering Coordinator
Are you passionate about dog welfare and building supportive communities?
As a Fostering Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in helping dogs thrive outside the kennel environment, recruiting and supporting volunteer foster carers, ensuring high standards of care, and working closely with adopters to find permanent homes.
What does this role do?
As a Fostering Coordinator, you will:
- recruit, assess, and induct new foster carers, promoting the scheme through events, conversations, and collaboration with colleagues across Dogs Trust,
- support foster carers with regular check-ins, arrange veterinary appointments, and provide access to behaviour or training support when needed,
- deliver training to foster carers with input from the Learning and Development and Welfare teams, either one-to-one or through organised group sessions,
- identify and place suitable dogs into foster care, including temporary placements for long-stay dogs needing respite from kennels, and carry out necessary intake assessments,
- promote dogs in foster or Home Stay settings by preparing profiles, contacting potential adopters, organising matching meetings, and completing all adoption paperwork.
Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for Monday 2nd February 2026 at our rehoming centre in Ballymena.
Could this be you?
With experience of working with volunteers and of handling and rehoming dogs, you will have excellent communication and organisational skills, and ability to support fosterers as they provide temporary care to our dogs. You'll need an understanding of best practice in interacting with volunteer fosterers, combined with fantastic customer service skills.

At Turning Point, we support people across the UK with mental health issues. As a Recovery Worker, you’ll make a real difference to their lives as you work closely with them to help them achieve their potential. Turning Point has several well-established services within Nottingham.
Our new supported living service in Sherwood will support people who may have dual diagnoses, legal restrictions, a history of drug/and or alcohol use and complex support needs.

We are looking for a dedicated, passionate and skilled Recovery Support Worker to join our new team at Beach House. The service provides high support housing to service users with enduring mental health backgrounds. The service consists of 8 flats and offers a full recovery and rehabilitation package to our service users.
We aim to support and assess on-going needs of our service users to build on their existing skills while learning new ones. All service users are allocated to a named Support Worker. Service users are required to fully participate in the process of planning their care, which includes attending support/key work sessions with staff; this time is for clients to discuss any issues or areas of concern they may have, or perhaps go out for a coffee/trip to local activities, or be supported with a practical task in their flat such as cleaning or laundry.
Role Responsibility
You will provide recovery focused support to service users in accordance with their support plans. You will have well-honed skills in positive communication, engagement, and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for service users.
You will have the maturity to work within a positive framework supporting clients. You will have the ability to deliver services and interventions in a person centred, non-judgmental manner, and recovery-based way.
You will work alongside members of the service user’s circle of support, to enable individuals to be happy, healthy, and successful in achieving their life goals.
Your typical duties will include:
- providing support and guidance to service users
- administering medication
- daily record keeping and incident report writing
- running group activities
- help with inducting new staff members
