Supporting the staff in our well-being team you will be helping to support disabled young people to attend our well-being sessions and trips. About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, and adaptable volunteers to join our Young People’s Wellbeing Group. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of disabled young people by supporting their participation in weekly wellbeing sessions and community trips.
As a Volunteer Worker, you will work closely with our dedicated wellbeing team to ensure that every session is inclusive, engaging, and safe. Whether you’re helping facilitate activities, supporting individuals during outings, or simply being a positive role model, your presence will help young people feel valued and empowered.
This role is ideal for:
- Graduatesseeking experience in education, social care, or youth work
- College or university studentslooking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity
- Professionals or retireeswanting to give back to their community
- Anyone with a genuine passion for supporting young people’s wellbeing
Key Responsibilities
- Support children and young people to participate fully in wellbeing sessions and group activities
- Assist staff during organised trips, ensuring participants are safe, included, and engaged
- Contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating environmentwhere every child can flourish
- Help to set up and tidy up session spaces, materials, and equipment as needed
- Encourage and empower young people to express themselves and develop independence
- Follow all safeguarding, confidentiality, and health and safety procedures at all times
- Communicate effectively with staff, young people, and parents or carers as required
