We have a unique opportunity which has become available for a Service Manager to join the team at Fen Grove in Blackfen.
Fen Grove supports 4 adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities and who are all wheelchair users and require full support with moving and handling, eating and drinking and personal care. All the individuals enjoy a variety of activities like shopping, cooking, going to a football match, and much more! The current staff team has an Assistant Service Manager and 10 support staff.
Due to the role, a majority of the working week will be Monday-Friday 9-5; however, there is some flexibility to adjust these hours across the week to suit the service. There could be some occasional evening and weekend work where you will need to observe practices and ensure standards are being maintained across the services.

This role sits within our Youth Impact Domain, which works to provide immediate one-to-one and group support for children who urgently need support. Your role will be to help us maintain and develop innovative practice to support our work in our services around the country.

A key part of this role will be your ability to deliver the work of SCARPA, ensuring that children and young people at risk of Exploitation receive support, information, and services to meet their needs
The required skills and competencies for this role are
- A relevant professional qualification e.g. diploma in social work, certificate in youth and community work, or related NVQ
- Demonstrable understanding of Safeguarding policies and procedures within the context of Exploitation
- Substantial relevant experience of working with children and young people at risk, from diverse backgrounds
- Experience of supporting people who are dealing with complex and sensitive issues.
- Experience of delivering one to one and group work to young people
- A strong commitment to team working
- Ability to record interventions delivered in an effective, concise professional manner
It would also be an advantage if you have any of the following skills and competencies
- Knowledge and experience of methods in building positive relationships with children and young people
