Recre8 Courses Ranger
Recre8 offers a wide range of exciting holiday and term-time activities. With sports from archery, climbing, tennis and trampolining to creative pursuits like art, cookery, musical theatre and pottery, there’s something for everyone! We also have a variety of fun educational options and a full programme of 11+ tuition, revision courses and mock exams.
We are looking to recruit Recre8 Courses Rangers to work at either Tonbridge School, our new satellite site at The New Beacon School in Sevenoaks or both locations.
The successful candidates will be reliable, enthusiastic and flexible, and enjoy working with children, and take pride in delivering a positive, professional and caring experience for all course participants.
Employment is on a casual basis and hours are allocated subject to appropriate numbers of bookings with no guarantee of work.
To aid cohesion and provide continuity for customers and attendees, we prefer applicants who are available for both Easter and Summer programmes (in whole or part). An application will benefit from intent to return for multiple seasons/years.
Rate of Pay:
£13.69 per hour including proportionate holiday pay
For insurance purposes, all candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the commencement of our holiday courses.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver administration, logistics, and communications support for Live Literature delivery, including developing and streamlining administrative systems and processes as needed.
- Support management and assessment of applications to Live Literature programmes and the author directory, including scheduling panels to consider applications, attending panels and, where needed, stepping in as chair
- Support panel meetings by keeping notes of funding decisions, preparing and sending out applicant feedback.
- Support with programme evaluation at all stages.
- Work across Scottish Book Trust teams to support marketing our programmes and events, including Live Literature and coffee mornings
- Support with daily enquiries to the Writing Communities programme, including being a main point of contact on the Live Literature mailbox.

Knowledge, skills and experience

APPLICATION PACK FOR:
Bar Supervisor
The Bar Supervisor plays a key role within the Bar and Events Team at the London Irish Centre (LIC),
supporting the Bar Manager in establishing the venue as London's premier Irish bar. This dynamic
role goes beyond day-to-day bar supervision and includes venue setup, technical support, and
involvement in the events business. Working closely with the Event Manager, the Bar Supervisor
ensures that the LIC's technical facilities—particularly AV and sound equipment—are kept in top
condition, offering exceptional event experiences. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with
the Cultural Events Team to support live performances and events. This is a fantastic opportunity to
be part of building and enhancing the identity of the London Irish Centre while gaining hands-on
experience in managing bars, events, and live performances.
Responsibilities/Duties
• Day-to-Day Bar Operations: Supervise the bar team, ensuring all tasks and checklists are
completed and the Hub Bar remains clean, organized, and well-stocked. Hold the team
accountable for maintaining these standards.
• Timesheet Management: Complete timesheets for zero-hour contracted bar staff, ensuring
accuracy and timely submission to the Bar Manager for approval before payroll deadlines,
including tracking additional hours or any absences.
• Training & Development: Assist the Bar Manager in training new staff and managing casual
or agency bar staff ensuring tasks are being split fairly, with the intention all staff are
achieving the same goals.
• Event Stock Management: Ensure that the bar is fully stocked for each event, including
fulfilling any special requests from clients, and maintaining a smooth operation throughout
the event.
• Stock Takes & Reconciliation: Assist the Bar Manager with weekly stocktakes and reconcile
stock with sales reports to maintain accuracy.
• Cellar Management: Perform regular checks on equipment, ensuring that the beer line
system and cellar remain clean and functioning at the highest standard.
• Venue Setup & Event Logistics: Lead the room setup and turnaround process, working with
the Event Manager to identify any additional staff or resources needed for complex setups
and smooth event delivery. Ensuring that pre-event checklists have been completed.
• Technical Facilities Management: Collaborate with the Event Manager to ensure all
technical equipment (e.g., AV systems, projectors) is in good working order. Schedule any
necessary maintenance to avoid disruptions during events.

The 150-hectare working forest is owned and operated by the AA and contains a growing educational facility for design, workshop, construction and landscape-focused activities. Role Overview The role is vital in keeping the buildings at Hooke Park and Juniper Barns clean and tidy and running efficiently so that it is safe for students as they continue their learning and staff can undertake their duties. You will be part of a small team looking after the buildings and facilities but interacting with other staff, students and visitors too. Hooke Park is a lively campus and a beautiful environment to work in.
