The person we support has a complex learning disability and has 2 to 1 support during waking hours and a sleep in service. She has a good sense of humour and loves music and silly slapstick sitcoms. She has some challenging behaviour and needs committed empathetic and patient staff.
There is additional community work that can be attached to this for people we support to access social networks and activities.

The project is located in Swansea and is a direct access hostel for 17 single people aged 18 upwards. The service provides residential support with the aim of meeting individuals’ needs, which promote independence and lead to a sustainable move-on.
Purpose of Role
To be responsible for the cleaning of the Windsor Lodge's supported housing project in Swansea. In addition to the cleaning of the communal areas and staff areas, the post holder will ensure that any cleaning of void rooms is carried out efficiently to keep periods between a resident moving out and another moving in to a minimum and that the accommodation is maintained at an acceptable standard.
On occasion the post holder may need to log maintenance issues on the organisational database and request a repair.
This role is subject to a Basic DBS disclosure.

About the role
As a Bank Enabling Support Worker it will be your role to provide support and encouragement, by taking direction from both the person supported and the person centred support plan.
You will be required to maintain accurate records while at work, in line with the service requirements. You may also be required to administer personal care and medication.
There will be the opportunity to cover sleep in sessions. You will be paid an additional £60 per sleep in.
Wall Street is a residential home in Hereford city centre. The service offers state-of-the-art equipment and facilities and highly trained staff.
With a specialism in supporting people with cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and acquired brain injury or stroke, the service takes a person-centred, flexible approach. Where will I be working?
You will be working in one of our supported living facilities in Barnsley or supporting people with mental health needs in their own home or local community. We use a digital social care record system, to support daily recording, which will make your day-to-day tasks easier and allows you to spend more time with the People We Support.
The service offers support to individuals living in their own homes in local communities therefore you will have a base. Support workers need to be outgoing, be able to use their own initiative and work as part of a team. The job is very rewarding enabling individuals to reach their full potential.
Shift Patterns
What are we looking for in a Support worker? We would like you to have a flexible approach to the role, be able to work a full range of shift patterns including 7am starts till 5pm then a 5pm sleep in till between 7am and 10am the next morning.
