Job description
The University of Glasgow Small Animal Hospital is seeking to recruit a Junior Clinician to join our small animal imaging team as Diagnostic Imaging intern. This position might suit someone who has recently completed a rotating or previous imaging internship and who is looking for the next step towards specialization.
Applications are invited from candidates with a veterinary degree registerable with RCVS who have completed a rotating internship or equivalent, possess proof or eligibility for your right to work in the UK, an excellent command of written and spoken English and strong communication skills.
You will be joining a friendly Imaging team of European Diagnostic Imaging specialists, advanced practitioners, radiographers and a Diagnostic Imaging interns. Our diagnostic imaging suite includes an on-site 1.5T MRI (Siemens Magnetom Essenza 1.5T MRI), a new 80-slice CT scanner (Canon Aquilion Lightning), digital radiography, and C-arm and ultrasonography (GE Logiq E9 for general ultrasound and a GE Vivid E95 for echocardiography) units. Our facilities also include a brandnew, cutting-edge linear accelerator, radio-iodine unit, dedicated ICU and excellent in-house laboratory.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the delivery of an efficient and effective small animal imaging referral service by providing clinical activity and help develop the Imaging department, which acts as a hub between a tight-knit, supportive multidisciplinary team including many specialists working in a wide range of services within our award-winning state-of-the-art Small Animal Hospital, which is one of the most sophisticated in Europe allowing companion animals from across the United Kingdom to benefit for the most advanced care available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the year.
Job Purpose
To support an efficient and effective small animal diagnostic imaging referral service by providing clinical activity under supervision of ECVDI Diplomates and residency-trained clinicians, as well as participating in the out of hours service and being on call on some evenings and weekends. To contribute to the School objectives relevant to national and international excellence in clinical service, teaching and research.
N.B. This post is offered on a 1 year fixed-term basis, and offers the early-stage clinical experience required as vets prepare for further specialist training, for example through European Board of Veterinary Specialisation (EBVS®) approved residencies and/or masters formal training programmes. Housing First Anglesey helps homeless people to find a permanent home quickly, providing ongoing support to help them settle in and maintain their new home. The project provides an intensive support package to actively address issues in a creative and innovative way.
Purpose of Role
Responsibility for coordinating and providing a flexible person centred, solution focused service, applying an assertive engagement and positive risk-taking approach, in line with Housing First principles. Within legal, moral and ethical boundaries, Housing First provision focuses on the long-term goal of creating sustainable tenancies and maximising connectivity with the local community. This role will work in an outreach capacity with those clients who may primarily need support with their mental health, enabling clients to access the services and interventions they need to build their resilience, gain confidence, reduce harm and acquire the personal and social skills they need to meet their aspirations.

Choir Accompanist
Canbury Singers
Canbury Singers (registered charity 1182027) is a community based choir in Kingston-Upon-Thames. Formed in 2007, as part of the Canbury Arts Trust, by a small group of locals who just wanted to sing, the choir has grown into a 40 strong group of enthusiastic and dedicated singers with a good reputation. Canbury Singers is an affiliated member of Making Music.
We are a friendly, fun loving choir without an audition process comprising a range of members from sight readers to those re-starting singing after some years. We meet on a Monday night (8:15pm-9.45pm) and look to perform two concerts a year together with a few charity and Christmas events including two socials. Members have an eclectic musical interest ranging from choral, religious and secular to jazz and stage musical genres, taking in African-American spirituals, European folk songs and sea shanties along the way. The choir is managed by an active committee who work closely with their Musical Director, Bethan Williams, on repertoire and performance planning.
Responsibilities of the Accompanist
The accompanist would work closely with the Musical Director, Bethan Williams, and assist Bethan in rehearsals by accompanying the choir and taking sectionals when required. They are expected to attend all rehearsals, and to coordinate deputies when necessary. The successful candidate may be invited to take part in Canbury Singers concerts as and when needed, with renumeration at the standard rate (please see below).
Person specification
The successful candidate will be an excellent musician who can demonstrate:
• Accompaniment from piano reduction and standard accompaniment parts proficiently in a sympathetic manner
• An excellent standard of sight-reading
• Support for the choir by score-reading vocal parts
• Harmonisation of warm-up exercises and vocal parts
• The ability to work as part of a team in a flexible manner
• The ability to take sectional rehearsals
• The ability to take rehearsals in the event of absence of the Musical Director
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with the choir and the committee
Pay
Remuneration is £70 for each ninety-minute rehearsal, at a rate of £46.67 per hour (subject to review in 2026)

We need someone who is excellent at caring for the people who are serving with SIM around the world. From their point of enquiry to their return from serving, you will be the point person whom they will go to for matters relating to their care and well-being.
This role needs someone who cares about people and is interested in building relationships and networks to get more people involved in cross-cultural mission. This role requires someone who is a good initiator and can develop and deliver a strategy for relationship building between SIM and the church community in Scotland.
This role is home-based in Scotland, preferably based centrally in the country, but will require regular travel to meet with different churches and key leaders.

About the Role
We’re currently looking for a Relief Rehabilitation Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated Acquired Brain Injury Service team in Dumfries.
In this role, you’ll take a person-centred approach to supporting people with an acquired brain injury, helping them to work toward their personal goals and maintain independence. Every day is different — you might be providing one-to-one support, helping someone participate in a community activity, or offering gentle encouragement as they rebuild skills and confidence.
The role includes some physical activity, such as providing support with mobility and pushing wheelchairs. The position is offered on a relief basis, and cover may be required between Monday and Thursday, 10am–4pm on an ad hoc basis. While our base is in Dumfries, a flexible approach to service delivery is essential, as some work may take place in different community settings.
About You
We’re looking for someone kind, motivated, and ready to make a difference in people’s lives. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Experience of working in a similar care or support environment
- A genuine interest in learning and personal development
- A care-related SVQ Level 3, or the willingness to gain this qualification within a set timeframe
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
- A full driving licence and access to a car, as flexibility is key in this role

The King's School Canterbury are seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Gardener to join our Gardens & Grounds team while you work towards your Level 2 Horticulture Apprenticeship. You’ll help maintain and develop our beautiful gardens and ornamental areas across all school sites.
Role Overview
You’ll gain hands‑on experience in a wide range of horticultural tasks, including:
· Mowing, weeding, pruning, hedge cutting and leaf collection
· Using hand and power tools (training provided)
· Working with fertilisers, composts and other materials
· Supporting general grounds maintenance and seasonal duties
Other tasks may be assigned to support the smooth running of the department.
