- Are you looking for a rewarding chance to give back and work with Young people. Our activity groups help Young Carers experience the things that their caring roles prevent them from.
- You will work Monday to Thursday evenings between 5.00 and 7.30pm at the different activity groups supporting the manager and leading the groups as and when allocated.
- In addition you will work flexibly during the week to promote and find more Young Carers that would benefit from our support. This will involve working with partner charities, schools, the youth service and statutory authorities.
- Full support, mentoring and training will be given.

Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week to be worked flexibly throughout the week but to cover:
- Home Help:
- Mondays and Fridays: During the office day 9am to 5pm
- Young Carers
- Monday – Thursday evening sessions: 5.15pm – 7.45pm

Main aims of the post
- To assist with managing the Home Help and Community service alongside the manager and assistant manager.
- To plan activity sessions and deliver them to the young carers in conjunction with other staff and volunteers.
- To assist with projects to develop and improve the services.
- To manage staff or volunteers allocated to the services.
- To ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- To ensure that information is accurately recorded on the CRM system regarding clients and staff.
- To be an integral part of the delivery and success of Carers Choices services.

Duties
- To provide a first point of call for staff within the Home Help/Community Care service supporting them to deliver quality services to service users on Mondays and Fridays.
- Lead Young Carers sessions co-ordinating staff, volunteers and young carers of different ages.
- Plan and execute Young Carers sessions to ensure engagement by all, adapting activities if required.
- Provide individual support to Young Carers as needed.
- Assist with the implementation of quality procedures including health and safety, incident reporting and risk assessments.
- Create and maintain clients on the CRM system, Salesforce. Updating general information, care plans and attendance schedules, as well as producing reports. Ensure accuracy prior to invoicing and payroll.
- Arrange and attend home assessments prior to clients/Young Carers starting the service.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of leads on Salesforce.
- Work with the Finance Manager to resolve invoice queries.
- Raise purchase orders and bills in the accounting system, Xero.
- Collate information as part of funding applications.
- Assist in creating advertising material for the services and marketing on social media and the website.
- Assign relevant training courses to staff.
- Compile monitoring forms and annual surveys as needed.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels by effectively managing and authorising absences and overtime.
- Attend and present at external events and meetings to raise the profile of services.
- Undertake any other tasks that are required by the Home Help and Young Carers manager.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Personable with excellent communication skills.
- Have empathy and understanding of the pressures faced by young carers.
- The ability to work well as part of a team as well as working individually.
- Demonstrable computer literacy and a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
