Post-19 Advisory Board Member
Part-time volunteer role
With a passion for positive outcomes with autistic adults, members of the Advisory Board have a key role in the governance and leadership of BeyondAutism’s Post-19 services and are required to model the role of ‘critical friend’ to the Post-19 Senior Leadership Team by providing advice and support in as constructive a manner as possible.
Being a Board Member should take up no more than 10 days a year, equal to about one day each half term plus preparation for and attendance at a minimum of 3 meetings each year. The term of office is for an initial 4 years.
The Advisory Board works with the CEO and Heads of Post-19 to ensure that our provision meets all statutory and compliance requirements.
Ideally candidates will have one or a combination of the following:
- Have worked in adult services at a senior level and with understanding of the vital importance of safeguarding
- Have lived experience as an autistic person or family member
- Experience in analysing and making sense of data
- Experience in holding people to account for agreed actions and responsibilities

Brand, Communications, and Events Manager
Full-time, permanent

What you’ll do
- Lead brand guardianship across the organisation, ensuring consistent and inclusive messaging
- Develop and deliver integrated communications strategies to support our 2030 vision
- Manage major stakeholder-facing and public events, from conferences to community engagement initiatives
- Oversee press activity, media engagement, and reputation management
- Build and deliver internal communications that connect staff, Trustees, Governors, and wider stakeholders
- Collaborate with colleagues across the MarComms team to align campaigns, outreach, and digital strategy
- Track performance and provide insight through communications KPIs and engagement metrics
What we are looking for
- A strategic communicator with strong experience in brand management and media relations
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling content across multiple channels
- Experience leading successful events, from planning through to delivery and evaluation
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- The confidence to act as brand guardian, ensuring consistency across all platforms
- A collaborative team player who can work across departments to achieve shared goals

About the role
As a Behaviour Analyst, you’ll play a leading role in supporting autistic learners by:
- Overseeing the education and progress of pupils in your class, ensuring individualised curriculum plans and behaviour strategies are developed and effectively implemented.
- Providing ongoing training, guidance, and demonstrations to Teaching and Learning Practitioners (TLPs), Advanced Skills Practitioners (ASPs), and other staff members in Behaviour Analysis principles.
- Monitoring pupil progress through assessments, creating Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and adapting teaching strategies as required.
- Developing behaviour reduction plans using the principles of Behaviour Analysis, ensuring these are monitored and updated regularly.
- Working with the interdisciplinary team, liaising with Occupational, Speech and Language Therapists and Qualified Teachers to incorporate targets into each learner’s programme
- Collaborating with parents to provide training, discuss progress, and address concerns.
- Attending meetings such as Annual Reviews, Special Educational Needs Tribunals, and team discussions to support student welfare.
- Ensuring the classroom is well-managed, with effective communication and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Promoting pupil independence and safeguarding their wellbeing, including managing care plans and risk assessments.
About you
- Education:Master’s in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Completed BCaBA/BCBA certification.
- Experience:At least two years in Behaviour Analysis. Experience in Special needs education setting desirable.
- Skills:Programme development, assessment, behavioural interventions, team management, theoretical and practical training, excellent communication, calm under pressure

Teaching and Learning Mentor

We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated individuals who share our mission of empowering autistic young adults to lead lives full of choice and opportunity.
You will be a strong team player with great communication skills, have the ability to work under pressure, and above all be passionate and committed to the development of the adults at our service. You will need to be willing to learn and work under the supervision of the Supervisors, and Behaviour Analysts.
Job Purpose
The role involves supporting a young adult in our Post-19 service and out in the community. Working with a team of Teaching and Learning Mentors, you will provide excellent support using the methods of Behaviour Analysis teaching to an autistic young adult and associated learning difficulties. You will support the Behaviour Analyst and Advanced Skills Practitioner in ensuring the daily needs of our students are met in a professional, competent, safe and fun environment within our Post-19 service. You will need to follow the principles of Behaviour Analysis to enable the students to access learning in a way that allows them to learn new skills at their own pace. Further training on Behaviour Analysis in an adult setting will be given to the successful candidate.
You will need
- An interest in working with young adults with special needs including autism.
- To be educated to A Level or recognised child care qualification.
- Emotional and physical resilience to meet the challenges and demands of the role.
- Experience of working with children and/or adults with special needs (desirable).
- To be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Teaching and Learning Practitioner
Full time, permanent
Join the Teaching and Learning Practitioner team at our two outstanding BeyondAutism schools in Wandsworth, London.
We would like to hire experienced and trainee practitioners with a passion for making a difference to the lives of autistic children. Our Teaching and Learning Practitioners work as a member of a class team supporting on average 8 pupils per class. You will help deliver excellent teaching underpinned by Behaviour Analysis to children and young adults with autism and associated learning difficulties. You will work individually and in small groups.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with our amazing pupils and join one of our two fantastic schools in Wandsworth Common and Earlsfield, Wandsworth, London.
