We are seeking trustees who are under the age of 35 to join YMCA Cheshire. We welcome individuals who have skills in human resources, communications, fundraising, or the housing sector. We are also especially interested in individuals with lived experience of supported accommodation.
If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the community, bringing fresh and valuable perspectives to board discussions, and contributing to the important work we do, we would be delighted to hear from you.

The Maintenance Officer role is crucial to the work we do supporting the work at our main accommodation at Gresty Road, where we house up to 69 people and at Valley Brook cam-pus where we house over 100 people who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing homelessness. We also house over 30 people in our dispersed properties around Cheshire
We would love to offer this opportunity to an “all rounder”, but skills that are particularly important are painting and decorating, room turnaround and cleaning, being able to build flat pack furniture. Basic joinery, plumbing, and working with power tools
-20 hours a week (days and hours negotiable)
– Hours could increase to full time in April 2026
-£13 per hour

This is a permanent role, 40 hours per week; shifts are either 8-4, 9-5 or 2-10 and there will be approximately one weekend in four, with 8-4 or 2-10 shifts on both Saturday and Sunday.

The HR Manager will support the Head of People and Culture to lead and manage all aspects of the Human Resources function. This role is responsible for overseeing recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, performance management, and compliance with employment law.
The post holder will report directly to the Head of People and Culture.
This is a full-time post, 40 hours per week, 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
