This is a fixed-term post supporting the HR Team with all employment-related matters and ensuring the Charity and its people are operating within the confines of all relevant legislation and best practice. The post holder will support in providing an effective and efficient HR Service which also includes recruitment, compliance, absence management, fleet management, payroll, pension and benefits. Duties and responsibilities
Main Duties
- Process new starters and leavers in accordance with relevant legislation and Charity policy.
- Create new starter packs including offer letters, contract of employment, etc.
- Conduct pre-employment checks including references, DBS and right to work.
- Maintain accurate sickness and absence records.
- Log and monitor annual leave and other types of absence.
- Collect data and compile reports on various HR metrics.
- Assist with payroll preparation.
- Assist with benefits management.
- Assist with fleet management.
- Issue general HR letters and documentation.
- Respond to external reference requests.
- Chase, obtain and log all HR documentation, including induction paperwork, appraisals, self-certifications, training certificates, etc.

The Senior Occupational Therapist is a key leadership role within our Children’s Occupational Therapy service. The postholder will:

Duties and responsibilities
The Community Fundraiser will be responsible for raising funds through cultivating relationships with local supporters and volunteers. They will need to carefully plan and deliver a regional approach to community engagement by galvanizing existing community groups and networks to choose Caudwell Children for their own fundraising activities, offering advice and support to encourage successful fundraising and repeat, long term support.
Key Responsibilities
Planning: Applying a knowledge of the geographical region and existing community groups/networks to ensure a comprehensive awareness of Caudwell Children and the need for fundraising among the business community and general public.
Supporter Engagement: Identify, recruit, and support individuals, local businesses, and families to create targeted community fundraising groups. Build and maintain relationships with donors to encourage repeat contributions.
Fundraising Activities: Recommend and encourage community fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to achieve financial goals and raise awareness for the charity within Staffordshire. Maintain an excellent level of understanding of the charity’s other fundraising activities to identify opportunities for internal referrals.

This is a permanent post supporting the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) in the delivery of an effective clinical service by supporting assessments and carrying out core administrative tasks prior and following our assessment process.

Under supervision you will:

This is a permanent post supporting the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), in the delivery of effective clinical services through assessment, intervention and ongoing support to children, young people and families accessing the service.
You will assess, formulate and deliver interventions and evaluate clinical outcomes. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Learning Disability Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Paediatrician, Assistant Psychologists, Clinical Assistants, Trainees and charity volunteers.
The role also will involve close collaborative working with our Family Support team and other departments across the charity including Service Delivery, Applications and Volunteer Departments.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of autism and neurodevelopmental assessment and intervention pathways including diagnostic assessment, formulation, recommendations, guidance, advice and workshop programmes for children and young people and those around them (e.g. families, teachers, health/social care workers).
- Work as part of the MDT in a specialist autism service for children and young people and their families –fostering strong collaborative relationships with colleagues to maximise effectiveness.
- Provide specialist psychological assessments of children referred to the service based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, observations and interviews with family members and others involved in the child’s care.
- Provide specialist knowledge and skills in the assessment and diagnosis of autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions where appropriate.
- Lead and contribute to MDT discussions around psychological and diagnostic formulation, taking into account theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the child or family group.
- Develop appropriate recommendations for ongoing support and intervention plans that promote the child’s development, wellbeing and family functioning.
- Provide specialist psychological advice, consultation, and training to other professionals contributing directly to formulation, diagnosis, intervention planning and ongoing support.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Main Duties:
- To lead assessments for children, young people and families that attend for diagnostic assessment for autism.
- To support and participate in ADOS/ADIR assessments for children on the autism service pathway.
- The role will involve supporting families and delivering feedback on their assessment, ensuring families are supported with relevant signposting and information
- To support parents and arrange events to ensure families have support prior to and post assessment- this will involve some weekend work
- To provide support and information to other areas of the charity that the post holder will collaborate with
- To ensure case lead has relevant information to be able to manage the caseload, this may involve preparation of documents and clinical information to support the assessment
- To be able to collate clinical assessments and information and ensure that these can be contributed to a clinical report in a timely manner
- The post holder should have IT skills and be able to construct reports – training will be provided
- As a member of the MDT team the post holder will support the case lead and other professional, offer clinical advice both within the service and other agencies.
- Provide mentorship and clinical supervision for students and colleagues

Clinical:
- To provide support for young children and their parents/carers referred to the service based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological, self-report measures, observations, assessments and semi-structured interviews.
- To support the use of diagnostic tools as part of the assessment to provide and/or contribute to the diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders.

Duties and responsibilities in developing and Implementation of Support Services:
- To work closely with the Family Support and Community Engagement Workers, you will maintain an up-to-date directory of local services and build up knowledge and understanding of community and statutory services available to families (parent/carer groups, education and special educational provision, EHCP’s, Local authorities, CAMHS and voluntary services).
- Advice and Guidance:Provide emotional support and advice to families facing various challenges. Provide a clinical escalation for Family support workers and community engagement workers. To provide a clinical escalation route to family engagement workers on clinical aspects of the service.
- Advocacy:Advocate for families by connecting them with community resources and services, ensuring their needs are met. To support families at their time of need such as liaising with schools, supporting in educational meetings, co facilitating workshops alongside the workshops team in schools to parents and professionals.

Essential Criteria:
- Evidence of registration with the NMC registration.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in a Lead Safeguarding role, adult or Children.
- Relevant safeguarding training and qualifications, Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training
- Previous experience of working with children/young people with Special education needs and disabilities SEND e.g. Autism, Intellectual disability.
- Experience of working with families in the community.
- Experience of working within an MDT and knowledge of neurodevelopmental pathway assessment tools.
- Experience of undertaking standardised formal assessments.
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent IT skills
- Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude with a flexible approach to work.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the role after reasonable adjustments have been made for illness or disability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey safeguarding policies, procedures and using skills when conversing with young people/families.
- Is able to adapt communication skills when working with children/young people and families.
- Ability to build relationships with children/young people, families, and staff, fostering a culture of trust and safety. Being self-motivated and having a flexible and proactive approach.
- Working with limited supervision or direction and has the ability to work off their own initiative.
- Self-motivated with a flexible and proactive approach.
Desirable Criteria:
- ADOS trained
- ADIR trained
- Knowledge of statutory and voluntary agencies.
- Experience of working in the Third Sector.
- Experience of working in CQC and ISO regulated organisations.
- Experience of working with volunteers.
