Are you passionate about supporting people out of rough sleeping and using your language skills to make a real impact? Join SPEAR’s Kingston Outreach Team as a Roma Outreach Worker and help individuals transition from homelessness to independence.
The role
In this vital role, you will deliver targeted outreach, primarily in Kingston (with occasional work in Wandsworth), engaging with Roma people who are sleeping rough. You will provide a consistent, supportive point of contact, carrying out needs assessments, delivering personalised case management and helping clients access services and secure stable accommodation.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is fluent in Romanian, Romany or Italian, and passionate about working with the Roma community. You’ll work closely with the St Mungo’s Pan-London Roma Rough Sleeping Team and other agencies to ensure culturally appropriate, accessible support is in place.

We’re looking for a new Rough Sleeping Outreach and Assessment Worker to join our dynamic team at SPEAR. In this role, you’ll make a real difference to people’s lives by reaching those sleeping rough on the streets and supporting them into safe accommodation through our 24-hour Assessment Centre.
From late-night outreach shifts to welcoming people at the centre and developing personalised support plans, every day will bring opportunities to help people build a path away from homelessness.
