Due to an exciting expansion of services, the hospice is adding to their well-established medical team.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner with a passion for delivering exemplary care, to join us in looking after people affected by life-limiting illness in both the hospice and community settings.
You will be working in our newly developed Palliative Advice Centre (PACE), as well as being an integral part of the medical team on the in-patient unit and Sunflower Living Well Centre. Our services are based in our purpose-built hospice situated one mile from Macclesfield town centre. There is ample free parking available on site.
PACE operates 24/7. You will be expected to be able to work across 7 days, between the hours of 8am and 8pm.
Our new team member will:
- Undertake face to face reviews of palliative patients, working across clinical settings, inclusive of hospice & community work
- Deliver expert advice to healthcare professionals, patients and relatives both in person and over the phone
- Coordinate care for people with a life-limiting illness
- Be confident liaising with other healthcare professionals, making recommendations for changes to medication regimes/plans of care and advocating for patients and their families
- Be proactive in-service development
- Deliver evidence based, quality care
Inpatient Unit and Palliative Advice Centre (PACE) at East Cheshire Hospice.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced nurse with a passion for delivering exemplary care, to join us in supporting people affected by life-limiting illness in both the hospice and community settings.
The successful candidate will be supported to undertake an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice to facilitate a transition from senior nurse to Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
You will be based in our purpose-built hospice situated one mile from Macclesfield town centre. There is ample free parking available on site.
Our service operates 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. This post will require weekend and evening work with the possibility of occasional rotation onto nights.
Our new team member will:
· Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illness.
· Act as a clinical leader, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.
· Undertake face-to-face assessments and reviews of palliative patients within the hospice and community settings.
· Offer advice and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals both in person and over the phone.
· Coordinate care and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions and decision-making.
· Support service development and quality improvement initiatives.
· Promote evidence-based practice and uphold the highest standards of care.
· Support the provision of additional hospice services such as blood transfusions and respite care.

What you’ll do:
- Provide high-quality, holistic care that respects dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to meet patients’ physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
- Support medication management and uphold professional standards in line with NMC guidelines.
- Contribute to service development, audits, and education programmes.
- Mentor junior staff and assist with rota planning and team communication.
