About the Role
Lincoln City Foundation is looking for an ambitious and passionate Youth Manager to lead and grow our youth provision. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take full strategic and operational ownership of programmes that make a real difference to young people in our community.
You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality initiatives such as after-school clubs, holiday activities, Premier League Kicks, and more—ensuring they are impactful, inclusive, and sustainable.

What We're Looking For
We’re seeking a leader who is passionate about creating opportunities for young people and driving positive change. The ideal candidate will bring:

Proven experience in managing youth or community programmes at scale, with a track record of delivering high-quality, impactful initiatives.

Strong operational leadership skills, able to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining standards and meeting deadlines.

People management expertise, including recruiting, developing, and motivating teams to achieve outstanding results.

Strategic thinking and growth mindset, with the ability to identify new opportunities, secure funding, and expand delivery reach.

Excellent understanding of safeguarding and compliance, ensuring all activities are safe, inclusive, and meet regulatory requirements.

Relationship-building skills, capable of developing partnerships with schools, local authorities, funders, and community organisations.

Flexibility and resilience, willing to work evenings, weekends, and school holidays when required.
Desirable qualities include experience within a football club foundation or sports-based charity, knowledge of programmes such as Premier League Kicks or HAF, and a relevant qualification in youth work, sport, or community development.

We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers to join the Lincoln City FC family as either Poacher the Imp or Poacher’s Assistant.
Poacher is our cheeky, friendly mascot who brings the energy on matchdays and at community events. Whether you’re inside the costume or helping behind the scenes, you’ll be at the heart of the action, making unforgettable memories for fans of all ages.
You can volunteer in one of two ways:

Be Poacher – don the famous costume, wave to the crowd, pose for selfies, and bring the Imp spirit to life.

Be Poacher’s Assistant – keep Poacher safe, guide them through busy areas, and help fans enjoy their moment with the mascot.
Both roles are important in helping us ensure that everyone leaves with a smile and special memories of their visit.

to support the delivery of our wide range of programmes including sport, community, youth,
and football development
About the Role
This flexible role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a positive impact through sport, physical activity, and youth engagement. You’ll deliver safe, fun, and inclusive sessions that inspire children, young people, and families to achieve their potential, develop new skills, and lead healthy, active lives.
Whether it’s on the pitch, in schools, community centres, or at matchday events, our coaches create engaging experiences that support wellbeing, learning, and personal growth for participants of all ages and abilities.
This is a dynamic role ideal for someone who enjoys working with people of all ages, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to make a positive impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, safe, and high-quality sports and physical activity sessions in line

with programme objectives and Foundation standards.

Support and lead a variety of activities, optional sessions include football coaching,

youth mentoring, after-school and holiday clubs, community sessions, and

matchday/fan engagement events.

Build positive, trusting relationships with children, young people, and families, acting

as a role model who promotes respect, inclusion, and positive behaviour.

Contribute to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of sessions and programmes,
-
ensuring all activities are inclusive and meet participant needs.

Maintain high standards of health & safety, safeguarding, and wellbeing during all activities. · Support event logistics including setup, equipment management, and basic administration as required. · Collaborate effectively with staff, volunteers, and external partners to create safe, supportive, and fun environments. · Assist in identifying participants who may need additional support to fully engage or progress, signposting to further opportunities where appropriate.
What We’re Looking For

Experience in sports coaching, youth work or community engagement (paid or voluntary)

Willingness to undertake mandatory training (Safeguarding, First Aid, etc)

Awareness of safeguarding and health & safety responsibilities

Understanding of behaviour management and inclusive practice

Friendly, approachable and able to build rapport with people of all ages

Passionate about using sport and physical activity to make a positive difference in the community

Reliable, organised and committed to delivering high-quality sessions
