The impact you will have
The trustee will support the board, the CEO and wider senior team with advice, guidance and sharing their experiences specifically related to:
- Supporting the team and wider charity to achieve our fundraising goals.
- Supporting and encouraging the fundraising team in their work.
- Ensuring that our fundraising activities are in line with organisational values and the Fundraising Code of Conduct.
- Help develop a fundraising culture across the organisation.
- Share your knowledge and expertise to enhance our fundraising efforts and maximise the effectiveness of our activities.
This is an exciting time to join Connection Support as we start to see the impact of our Prevention First Strategy.
Time commitment
The anticipated time commitment for a Trustee is up to a day a month. Approximately 2-3 hours per month in person, and then 2-3 hours of supporting with projects which can be from home.
Trustee positions are not paid but travel and subsistence expenses are reimbursed.
About you.
Our values are extremely important to us, so it is essential that your personal values align with ours, and you are passionate and motivated by the impact you can have by being part of Connection Support. We would also like you to have the following;
- A diverse range of experience in fundraising and charitable income generation at strategic and operational levels, (e.g., instance trusts and foundations, major donors, corporate partnerships, regular donors and legacy giving).
- Knowledge of the fundraising landscape and the challenges facing medium-sized, regional charities in securing funds.
Previous experience is not necessary as we provide a full induction. We pair new Trustees with an experienced member and offer training opportunities to Board members.

PA/Support Assistant required for lady in Milton Keynes who is a wheelchair user.
3 hours per week to be used flexibly for support to access the community and engage in various activities such as hospital appointments, shopping trips, swimming, garden centres etc.
£13.50 per hour

I’m a quadruple amputee looking for a carer/PA for 10-16 hours per week, including every other weekend. Hours are negotiable.
Duties will include:
Driving to appointments
Taking me shopping
Preparing lunch or evening meal
Cleaning
Ironing (occasionally during holidays)
Personal care
Showering
Dressing
Due to the occupational requirement of personal care, including toileting, bathing etc , this role requires a female carer. This is a gender occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
Must have high standards, be reliable, and have full driving licence.
Must be comfortable with big dogs.
Must be willing to undertake a DBS check if required.
Due to health reasons smoking would not be permitted during working hours.

About the volunteer role
We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to provide weekly ongoing support to families in need. By working alongside parents, you’ll offer support, motivation, encouragement and practical advice as they take steps to create a more stable and positive environment for their children.
As a volunteer you’ll be matched with a family to help them achieve practical goals.
Experience working with children is essential, however, we will provide full training and support. Your involvement will be invaluable in helping these families thrive.
Flexible hours and out of pocket expenses will be covered.
At Connection Support we feel that nobody can do everything but everyone can do something so volunteering is flexible to suit you.

Wednesday – 11.30am – 1.00pm and 2.30pm – 5.30pm
Thursday – 12 noon – 1.00pm

Sunday 5.00pm – 6.00pm
For support with the following:
Medication administration (ensuring dosset box is filled with correct daily dosages)
Laundry – folding, hanging and putting away

Occasional support with appointments.
Ideally this role will be covered by two people and the hours split according to their availability.

Can you spare a few hours on occasional early mornings to work alongside our Outreach Support Worker? You will wake up identified rough sleepers with the aim of helping them to access suitable accommodation.

9 hours per week for support with shopping for nutritious food items, light housework, encouragement to maintain personal hygiene routine, going for walks round local parks/lakes.
£14.00 gross per hour
