About the position:
YMCA Bournemouth’s Child Contact Centres in Southbourne and Townsend are fully accredited by the National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC). We provide opportunities for families to maintain relationships even when they do not live together. We facilitate supervised, supported and handover family time both in the centres and in the community. As manager you would be running the centres and line managing the team of practitioners.
This role will involve:
- Organising supervisee records and assessing family time with an awareness of safeguarding
- To rota and line manage practitioners and volunteers to ensure the service is safe, efficient and of high quality
- To develop and maintain relationships with families, local authorities, social workers, solicitors and other professionals and service users whilst ensuring contact demands are met

Qualifications and experience:
- A minimum qualification of NVQ level 4 children and families related or equivalent (essential)
- Previous management experience (essential)
- Experience of working with families (essential)
- Driving licence and access to a car (essential)
- Safeguarding level 3 or equivalent (desirable)

As supervisor, you will support the manager by running the centres at weekends.

- To ensure a safe environment for children and best practice regarding safeguarding/child protection
- To work closely with the child contact centre manager to ensure family time sessions are appropriately supervised
- To deal with service users enquiries, ensuring emails and records of conversations are filed online
- To quality assure practitioner recordings of family times to ensure they are concise, relevant and accurate

Relief Night Officer

We are looking for a Relief Night Officer to join our team and contribute to supervise the security of YMCA premises and clients when required during the hours of 21.00 to 08.00, providing support to clients in keeping with the association’s aims and purposes.
This role will involve:
- Making sure the building is secure
- Reporting events during the shift period by recording events in the accommodation handover book
- Ensuring that all policies and procedures are adhered to
- Handling emergency situations in relation to the building/persons in an appropriate manner
