Job Description Job Title: Early Years Assistant Responsible to: Early Years Lead Salary: £23,536 (based on full time 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year) Purpose of job To work as a member of the Early Years Nursery team to provide high quality education and care appropriate to the developmental needs of children, working in partnership with their parents/carers. Job Description Job Title: Premises Caretaker (non-resident) Responsible to: Director and Office Lead Pay: £20,449 – £21,021 per annum (actual). Part Time 27.5 hours a week. Purpose of job To undertake caretaking, outdoor cleaning and minor repairs in and around Quaggy Children’s Centre, and other relevant sites. (Margaret Bondfield Nursery, Parkside Centre and Charlton Family Centre). Main tasks/ duties To ensure the premises and grounds are safe, warm, clean and properly maintained. This may involve practically doing these duties or where appropriate, liaising with contractors, so that all statutory Health & Safety standards are met. • Security responsibilities fire and safety procedures, setting alarm systems and reporting defects. Logging all actions and concerns. including emergency, security, • Cleaning duties including monitoring of cleaners, undertaking ad hoc cleaning duties as required. • Heating responsibilities include the operation and routine maintenance of the heating system and adjacent areas. • Porterage duties include taking delivery and distributing supplies, moving furniture and equipment, putting up gazebos etc. • Maintenance duties include general handy person repairs, reporting when more major repairs are required, directing contractors. • To be responsible for regular litter and large items of rubbish clearing, including the removal of any offensive material from the property and/or arranging removal or collection of these items. • To carry out minor repairs and routine maintenance, including areas such as outdoors, entrances, toilets, in rooms, clearing drains and gullies etc, reporting faults, defects or general maintenance required. • To check and clean and ensure that items of equipment are in good working order and to ensure that it is properly serviced, maintained and replaced as needed. VOLUNTEER ROLE DESCRIPTION VOLUNTEER ROLE: Volunteer Counsellor RESPONSIBLE TO: Counselling Service Lead Main Purpose: To deliver one to one counselling sessions either face to face or online to adult clients as part of the Quaggy Community Counselling Service. The volunteer counsellor will be required to abide by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. Main activities of the volunteer counsellor: 1. Contract with clients to provide up to 12 counselling sessions (with a possible extension of up to 24) on a weekly basis, adhering to the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. 2. Offer counselling to a maximum of 3 individual clients ensuring maintenance of confidential client notes, evaluation and accurate statistics in keeping with the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions and Data Protection Act. 3. To provide clients with information and signposting to other appropriate statutory and voluntary support services. 4. Manage a confidential diary system of counselling appointments for clients. 5. Attend fortnightly group and quarterly Clinical Supervision arranged by QCCS in keeping with BACP’s Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. 6.
