Based at: Altham Head Office (BB5 5BY) for 4 days per week, 1 day from your own home. (NOTE, this is for the first 3-6 months of employment for training purposes. This will be reviewed after 3 months where the option to work more remotely may become available to you)

Purpose of role
Advocacy Focus is seeking an Advocacy Coordinator to support a wide range of people we
support through phone, email, and our website. Reporting to the Referral and Triage Manager, you
will be the first point of contact for referrals from professionals and clients, manage electronic
systems and data, and provide essential administrative support to the advocacy team.
This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong IT ability, and great
attention to detail. You will need to engage with the people we support with empathy and
understanding, while also working confidently with professionals and colleagues. Accuracy,
organisation, and a customer-focused approach are key to success in this role.

Purpose of role
To provide specialist Statutory Advocacy to local residents across Lancashire. To promote self-advocacy and empowerment and enable service users to make informed decisions and get their views heard in matters relating to mental health and/or care and support needs within health and social care. This will be through one-to-one advocacy and other models of advocacy as required. This activity will include working with people of all ages, including those with learning disabilities, people with mental health needs, people with physical and sensory impairment, older people and people that lack capacity.

Purpose of role
The post holder will form part of the wider management team and will be responsible for overseeing the
development of the charity’s operations, marketing, IT, and governance, ensuring systems are effective and support Advocacy Focus’s mission. With technical skills in these areas, they will review and improve existing processes and establish objectives to strengthen the charity’s operations.
The role requires excellent project management skills and will include the line management of Operations
personnel. The Operations Manager will work across a range of projects, delegate effectively, and collaborate with both internal teams and external partners.

We are looking to recruit a Children and Young Persons Advocate to support our provision of Children’s Rights and Independent Advocacy.
Advocacy Focus is committed to providing a service which supports the improvement of outcomes for all Cared for Children and Young People and those subject to Child Protection and Child in Need Plans. In so doing it recognises that some children living in the area have additional and complex needs and that these children can face additional challenges in achieving the best that they can.
Our Advocates provide key services to looked after children via independent advocacy, supporting the independent visitor’s service and supporting the Children’s rights service. Our Advocates ensure children understand their rights, have a voice, feel listened to and are taken seriously.
