The Royal Albert Hall is recruiting Casual Crew Chiefs to join our Production and Technical team.
Integral to the daily operation of the building is the Production and Technical department who are responsible for the preparation, set-up, and operational requirements of every event across the Hall from the Main Auditorium, to the Beyond the Main Stage and Engagement areas including the Elgar Room and other spaces within the building.
We are looking for candidates who are experienced working in events, working at similar venues or other fast paced environments.
As a member of the Production and Technical Department, you will assist with the setup and operation of events by leading the casual crew on shift, handling heavy staging and technical equipment, setting up orchestra layouts, organising arena seating configurations, and supporting event load-ins and loadouts. You will also be responsible for painting and cleaning tasks when required, as well as carrying out any additional duties assigned by the Stage Team and Event Managers.
This role requires someone who is physically fit, highly aware of health and safety procedures, and flexible enough to work irregular hours including early mornings, late nights, overnight shifts, weekdays, and weekends. You should be self-motivated, able to quickly follow instructions, work effectively as part of a team, take initiative when needed, and communicate clearly and confidently.

The Royal Albert Hall is recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Technical Services Project Manager to join our Building and Facilities Team.
This role is responsible for the delivery of mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects, and for providing specialist M&E advice on other projects within the Building Projects and Facilities and wider Hall teams.
Our mission in the Building Projects team is to deliver projects within the Estate Plan in line with the Hall’s strategic objectives — safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard for staff, contractors, and customers. The team also works closely with other departments to ensure their projects and objectives are achieved.
The Technical Services Project Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering complex building services projects within one of the world’s most iconic heritage venues. Responsible for the full lifecycle of M&E projects — from concept through to completion and handover — you will also advise on M&E aspects of wider capital and estate works.
Success in this role means delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the highest technical and heritage standards, while navigating the complexities of working in a Grade I listed, live operational environment. You will act as a key liaison between internal teams, heritage bodies, contractors, and sponsors, ensuring all works enhance the Hall’s operational capability without compromising its historic character.
You will be professionally qualified (HNC, HND, or higher) in building services engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.

Flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, overnight shifts, weekdays, and weekends is essential. Candidates should be self-motivated, able to follow instructions quickly, work effectively within a team, take initiative when required, and communicate clearly. A basic understanding of theatre, staging, or similar team-based environments would be an advantage.
