Main Purpose of Job
To provide Pre-school Gymnastics, Curriculum Gymnastics and extra-curricular gymnastic sessions to children and young people. The post holder needs to be flexible and may work irregular hours (e.g., evenings) given the nature of the role.
Responsibilities
- To deliver gymnastics sessions, with the flexibility to ensure all participants are offered coaching at a level appropriate to their ability and support needs.
- Develop relationships with participants, teaching staff, support workers/carers, parents and other key partners/stakeholders to ensure effective session delivery.
- Keep up to date monitoring including registers, risk assessments and any relevant reporting documents.
- To access all Quality Assurance staff training offered by the Trust during the term of employment.
- To ensure all equipment is available and well maintained.
- Provide feedback to teachers, coaches, and parents where appropriate.
- Ensure they are aware of any medical issues concerning the participants.
- Actively promote relevant Trust offers
- Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality, especially regarding individuals' personal details and concerns.
- Follow established protocols for data protection and privacy.
- Act as a point of contact in emergency situations, aiding and guiding individuals to safety.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities and emergency services as necessary.

- Experience in planning and delivering gymnastics sessions, in extra-curricular environments.

- Flexible to work outside normal office hours E.G Breakfast Clubs, Afterschool Clubs & Evenings.
Desirable:
- Gymnastics Level 2 qualification

- Computer Literate (Microsoft Office) / IT skills
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in delivering coaching sessions preferably within a school environment.

Main Purpose of Job
Brentford FC CST is looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and ambitious coaches to join our team, to lead or assist on our range of Disability Programmes during term-time, school holidays, and at weekends. This will include working with children & young people with learning and physical disabilities, particularly those with Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties, Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
Sessions will take place in the boroughs of Hounslow, Ealing, Richmond, Hillingdon, and occasionally other areas of West London.
Specialist disability training will be made available to successful candidates.
Responsibilities
- To collaborate with other Trust coaches to ensure all sessions are delivered to a high standard, including planning and delivery suitable for the needs of the participants.
- Build relationships with students, teachers and parents.
- To improve children’s understanding of personal skills and values needed to achieve their goals and ambitions.
- Regular reviews with Disability Projects Managers to provide updates and feedback on development of sessions.
- To support and signpost children and young people with learning and physical disabilities into further participation pathways in sport.
- Keep up to date with registers and participant data collection in accordance with project funding requirements.
- Participate in Brentford FCCST staff training CPD workshops including safeguarding, emergency response & child protection
- Ensuring all sessions are delivered in compliance with BFCCST policies regarding Safeguarding, Risk Assessments, Health and Safety, Incidents/Accidents, First Aid, GDPR.
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of fellow employees and participants at all times, whilst sessions are taking place.
- Using knowledge of specific needs / disabilities of participants to recognise potential safeguarding concerns that need to be reported, following BFCCST safeguarding procedures.
- Report any safeguarding concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities or designated personnel.

- Minimum Level 1 Coaching Qualification in at least one sport

Desirable:
- Experience of working/coaching in schools and community settings with children and young people with disabilities.
- NGB Level 2 Qualification in sport

Brentford FC Community Sports Trust
With community work spanning three decades, Brentford FC Community Sports Trust has established itself as a pioneering organisation for the local community. It uses the power of sport to educate, motivate and inspire people from all walks of life.
Working in partnership with Brentford FC, the Trust offers a portfolio of programmes in education, health, sports participation and community engagement. The Trust has won the ‘Football League Community Club of the Year’ award four times and now employs more than 100 members of staff. The Trust is forecasting further significant expansion over the next two years following its appointment as a key partner in the redevelopment of Gunnersbury Park [as a sports hub], and its move to new, larger, purpose-built premises directly adjacent to the new Brentford FC 17,500 capacity stadium near Kew Bridge in 2021.
The Education Department is set up to provide personalised support and structured intervention, including both 1:1 and group sessions and activity. Our programmes are targeted at young people who are at risk of not achieving their potential.
The programmes are delivered in partnership with a variety of professionals, the local authority, schools, educators, youth justice and other agencies such as the Premier League Foundation. This joined up approach, brings about meaningful collaboration and means that we are able to support those that need it most. Our programmes focus on positive relationships, developing strong interpersonal skills and building confidence in young people. Aspirations and goal setting are also central to the purpose, enabling young people to consider their future, whether this is linked to building more positive peer relationships or relationships at home, or their long-term future and career aspirations.

Main Purpose of Job
We are looking for personable and committed individuals who can work with young people with challenging backgrounds, providing personalised support, bespoke activity and focused mentoring. You must be able to build rapport with young people and have a belief that with the right tools and support all young people will achieve their potential.
This role will support some of the following programmes;

Brighter Futures - weekly 1:1 sessions for children & young people in care, at the edge of care and their families. Supporting with managing challenging behaviours, social, emotional needs and identifying strategies to help move forward.

Premier League Changing Directions & Turnaround Programmes – referrals from Schools and Youth Justice Services (YJS) who attend weekly 1:1 mentoring sessions to raise aspirations, divert away from risk taking or criminal behaviour.

Focus 30 – intervention to support secondary students struggling to manage their own behaviour in school.
Responsibilities
-
Provide 1:1 mentoring to young people
-
To provide tailored, inclusive, high quality and engaging activities which meet the needs of the children and young people.

Take a flexible approach to all cases, demonstrating empathy & understanding.
-
Under direction of Line Manager, liaise with parents/guardians/local authority professionals where required.
-
Facilitate and encourage young people to continue on to further programmes (internal/external) and positive pathways.
-
Maintain accurate records as appropriate for each project including Risk Assessments, Registers, Session Logs & case studies; tracking progression.
-
Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality, especially regarding individuals' personal details and concerns.

Ensure BFCCST safeguarding standards and expectations are always followed.
-
Regularly liaising with BFCCST Safeguarding team to risk assess each referral effectively, identifying individual support plans where required.
-
Ensure supporting documents and reporting are up to date and entered on internal monitoring systems (Views/Salesforce).
-
Be able to demonstrate a positive impact on the young people you work with.
-
Ensure that all delivery, for which you are responsible, complies with all Brentford FC CST health and safety, safeguarding, GDPR & EDI requirements.

Stay informed about safeguarding policies, procedures, and best practices.
-
Participate in training sessions related to safeguarding and emergency response.
-
Report any safeguarding concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities or designated personnel.
-
Collaborate with other team members and departments to create a cohesive approach to safeguarding.
-
Participate in meetings and contribute to the development and improvement of safeguarding policies.
-
Support with any other bespoke education projects in line with funding requirements.
The Selection Criteria
Essential
-
Experience of delivering engaging sessions for young people (10-24yrs) with challenging backgrounds
-
Experience of working with young people, forming strong, positive relationships leading to positive change.
-
Safeguarding Qualification & Emergency First Aid Certificate (or willingness to complete training)
-
Current DBS certificate (a new one will also be processed)
-
A good listener who understands the value of mentoring and 1:1 support
-
Experience of working with young people in a supportive role
-
An understanding of safeguarding and its importance
-
Organised and work with attention to detail
-
Commitment to diversity, equal opportunities and inclusivity

Willingness and flexibility to deliver sessions across our catchment areas at our stadium & sports hubs, in schools, PRU’s and youth centres.
Desirable:

L2 qualification in Mentoring or Youth Work
-
UKCC Level 1/2 coaching qualification or equivalent
-
Mental Health First Aid Certificate
-
An understanding of the power that sport plays in helping change attitudes and provides direction.

Experience of working in a pastoral role
-
Experience working with Youth Justice Services
-
Good knowledge of the local area and demographics (Hounslow and neighbouring boroughs)
-
Ability to adapt sessions to support young people with additional support needs
-
Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle
