The Role:
As part of the Digital and Communications team, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and analysing a joined-up customer journey. You will manage and automate emails and SMS, craft engaging content, and optimise strategies.
Job Responsibilities and Deliverables
• Work with the Digital Experience Manager and Digital Officer to deliver on the design and implementation of email marketing campaigns.
• Manage data integration between Spektrix and DotDigital to ensure accurate customer information, booking data, and behavioural triggers between systems.
• With the CRM Working Group, contribute to audience journey mapping and incorporate email plans into the wider audience journeys.
• Create new automated emails and update existing email flows, including welcome series, pre and post-show emails and triggered campaigns.
• Create compelling emails including copy, subject lines, design, images and CTAs.
• Conduct A/B split tests on different email elements (subject lines, content, design) to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Support brand campaigns to deliver on shared objectives round new audiences, retention, recency, frequency and volume.
• Build and maintain accurate email subscriber lists, with the wider CRM Working Group, through segmentation to ensure targeted communication.
• Track and report on key email marketing metrics like open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and ROI to assess campaign effectiveness.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure consistent messaging.
• Keep up to date with email marketing best practices, AI Tools, GDPR and compliance.
• Develop and schedule SMS campaigns in coordination with the Digital Team.

Job Specification
The Role:
The Ticketing Manager is responsible for managing full-service ticketing operations for Edinburgh International Festival. The role requires detailed knowledge and experience of working with ticketing/CRM software to manage ticket sales in a very busy box office environment and maintaining customer service excellence throughout the sales cycle. The Ticketing Manager will maintain accurate financial reporting and secure information management processes and oversee the recruitment, induction and training of a team of seasonal ticketing staff.
Job Responsibilities and Deliverables
• Manage public-facing ticket sales, exchanges and refunds via all channels (telephone, online and counter, including at our Festival venues).
• Liaise with festival venues to ensure information such as accessibility, seating plans and transport routes are accurate and kept up-to-date.
• Accurately manage holds and allocations for internal and external stakeholder requests, including artists and companies, donors, press, sponsors and VIPs, as well as oversight of and accountability for a range of ticketing initiatives.
• Develop and apply discounts, offers and promotional codes, maintaining attribution for reporting and ROI analysis.
• Report on revenue and attendance figures to track sales and customer trends; reconcile daily sales (including daily banking procedures); manage the settlement and reconciliation of ticket sales for all events.
• Keep accurate customer records, including up-to-date contact details and contact preferences; oversee procedures to monitor and maintain data quality.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of CRM processes and customer experience initiatives.
• Lead on the recruitment, induction and training of a team of (seasonal) box office staff (the festival ticketing team rises from between 4-8 staff to 25 during peak festival/event booking times); effectively deploy and manage resources, including budget, and produce box office staffing rotas.
• Provide support and training for box office and front of house teams at partner venues, including the timely delivery of customer attendance reports and access requirements.
• Maintain the highest standards of customer service in a box office environment, dealing with customer queries and complaints via multiple channels within agreed timescales.
• Support and deputise for the Head of Ticketing & Audience Experience as required.

The Role:
To work with the Brand & Campaigns Team to support the delivery of the contextualising materials for Festival 2026. Additionally, to support overall Audience Department objectives, to ensure that all Festival activities are promoted to the widest possible audience, maximising brand awareness and ticket sales.
Job Responsibilities and Deliverables
• Assist in the planning, development and production of the Festival’s contextualising materials (e.g. the freesheets, performance programmes, online essays, The Warm Up audio introductions, welcome surtitling slides etc..)
• Contact artists/companies for information, approvals of proofs and timeline updates
• Research and collect information on artists and companies performing at the Festival, including images, biographies and requests for music and performance licensing.
• Draft copy for and proofread the Festival’s publications, promotional material and digital content as required
• Assist with website content updates ensuring all content is accurate, up-to-date and reflects both programme and wider Festival brand messaging
• Plan and produce relevant promotional collateral and social media content to support sales campaigns for the Festival programme, working with promotional partners, media and distribution agencies where appropriate
• Support the Audiences team to record and respond to customer feedback
• Co-ordinate and schedule print deliveries, collections, and stock records with venues
• Archive publications for internal use and for public access at National Libraries of Scotland
• Handling, unpacking and distributing Festival stock such as brochures and merchandise.
• Assist in implementing display, venue-dressing and signage for all Festival venues and other city sites
• Contribute to the formulation, scheduling, and implementation of marketing campaigns
• Support the Digital and Communications team on media and social media monitoring during key busy periods
• Confidently represent the International Festival’s core brand and organisational values and personality in all areas of your work
• Any other tasks as required to support the Audiences department
