Community Coach (Casual/Flexi)Location: Various across B&NES, Somerset and WiltshireHours: Two days per weekPay: £12.50–£20 per hour (depending on experience)Reports to: Community Liaison Officer
About Us
At Bath Rugby Foundation, we’re passionate about changing the lives of vulnerable young people. We engage those at risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment, or training) and help them build the skills and confidence to thrive.
Role Purpose
As a Community Coach, you’ll deliver high-quality sports coaching sessions across a range of settings, working with children, young people, and adults of all abilities. Your work will help promote inclusion, boost physical activity, and support personal development in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching
-
Deliver a high standard of coaching across multiple sports and promote positive values: sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, and personal growth.

Plan and deliver engaging, safe and inclusive sessions tailored to participant needs.

Develop and follow session plans and schemes of work, including risk assessments.
Community Engagement

Build strong relationships with local schools, youth groups, and community organisations.

Help promote sessions and events through outreach and content (shared with Communications Manager).

Be a visible, positive ambassador in the community.
Administration & Safeguarding

Record attendance, support data collection, and maintain equipment.

Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and organisational policies are always followed.

Regular check-ins with the Community Liaison Officer (1:1s).
About You

Confident, engaging coach with experience planning and delivering sessions.

Understanding of SEN, mental health, and behavioural challenges in young people, with a commitment to inclusion, learning, and safeguarding.

Flexible, proactive, and professional in all areas of work.
The Foundation is committed to safeguarding our participants. All post holders are subject to appropriate vetting procedures and a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced check.
