Who we are looking for:
While always open to exceptional talent, we are
currently looking for an Acoustic Engineer in our London
office: Candidates will:
• Be ready to apply for AMIOA with the Institute of
Acoustics (IoA)
• Hold an acoustics or physics degree, an engineering
degree with acoustics coursework, or a related
degree with the IoA Diploma
• Preferably have some building acoustics experience,
such as through a year-in-industry

This is an opportunity to be involved in some extraordinary projects. The work will involve undertaking noise and vibration surveys, acoustic testing, noise impact assessments, providing building acoustic advice, building services advice, vibration assessments, noise modelling, data analysis and report writing.
The successful candidates will be required to liaise with clients, be able to manage their workload and be responsible for their own projects through to completion and on schedule. You would be supported by the Senior Consultants and Directors throughout.
Essential:
- A degree in acoustics/engineering/maths/music productions/technology or a Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control
- Ability to solve problems, write technical reports and analyse data.
- Ability to manage projects and their time efficiently.
- A full Driving License is required.

Environmental Protection is tackling these issues, and we’re now seeking Senior/Environmental Protection Officers to join us. In this role, you’ll investigate and manage noise and nuisance cases in the commercial sector, from initial complaint through to resolution and potential court proceedings. You’ll also prepare reports and respond to Members’ and public enquiries. The essential requirement for the Senior/Environmental Protection Officers roles are as follows;
Environmental Protection Officer (PO1 & PO2)
PO1 - Requires experience in environmental noise and nuisance investigations, including enforcement, as well as consulting on Licensing applications.
PO2 - Requires experience in environmental noise and nuisance investigations and consulting on Planning, Licensing, and Prior Consent s.61 applications. An IOA Certificate of Competence in Environmental Noise Measurement is desirable.
Senior Environmental Protection Officer (PO3 & PO4)
PO3 - Requires significant experience in environmental noise and nuisance investigations and enforcement. Must have the IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control.
PO4 - Requires extensive experience and knowledge in environmental noise and nuisance investigations and enforcement. Must have an accredited academic qualification (e.g., MSc, BSc (Hons), or Diploma) in Environmental Health approved by the Environmental Health Registration Board, or an MSc in Environmental and Architectural Acoustics or equivalent, is essential.
