ABOUT L'ARCHE LIVERPOOL
L’Arche Liverpool is made up of 7 supported living houses and the Ark, our day centre and central hub of the community. Our Community includes around 40 people with learning disabilities, who we support at home, and around 50 people with learning disabilities we support at our Day Service, as well as volunteers, friends, family, neighbours and L’Arche assistants. We have been a part of the Community of Fairfield since 1976, attended local churches, community groups and work in partnership with local schools and universities offering work placements.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reports to: Locality Manager
Hours of work: up to 40 hours per week
Salary: £12.21 per hour

Main purpose of the role:
As a Care and Support Worker you will support people with learning disabilities living in a variety of supported living settings, in line with agreed support and care plans, in all aspects of their everyday lives. You will deliver practical, physical and emotional support to people with learning disabilities, whilst proactively promoting choice, independence and self-determination.
Person Centred Support
You will:
• Provide high quality support to people with learning disabilities in line with L’Arche values, policies
and procedures, Reach Standards in supported living and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission [CQC]
Support of people with learning disabilities
• Assist with the personal hygiene, dress and health needs of individuals in their home
• Facilitate individuals to meet their leisure, social, practical and spiritual needs
• Encourage individuals to in their ongoing development of independence
Building an atmosphere of mutual relationships
You will:
• Foster positive relationships with both assistants and people with a learning disability
• Assist in celebrations and support spiritual life so that there is an atmosphere of welcome and friendship

In L'Arche London, we are intentionally inclusive, bringing together those with and without learning disabilities, in our community of more than 100 people. One of the L’Arche UK communities, we’re re part of a federation that includes over 150 communities across 37 countries and 6 continents.
Our community includes over 30 people with learning disabilities, with lots of different support needs, who we support at home and in our workshops. Alongside them are dedicated community members, volunteers, friends and neighbours, all integral in fostering a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Main purpose of the role
The Human Resources Manager provides effective HR support to all employees and in the two L’Arche Communities located in Scotland, in line with L’Arche’s identity, mission and values.
The HR Manager will:
- Support the Community Leaders and Coordinating Teams, provide advice and guidance to all leaders on best practice in HR matters, and ensure that the two Communities meet all of their regulatory obligations with regard to the employee life cycle.
- Ensure implementation of employment legislation, and compliance with Safer Recruitment, national policies and initiatives, and SSSC requirements.
- Address employee relations issues through direct involvement, advice to operational leaders, facilitating mediation, fostering a positive work environment, and managing conflict and performance.
- Supervise two training co-ordinators and have dotted line management of HR admin, providing coaching and training to managers and employees on HR-related topics.
Key essential criteria
- Understanding and identification with the aims, mission and values of L'Arche;
- Experience of working in HR, especially employee relations casework;
- Experience of the full employee life cycle including recruitment, training, performance management;
- Experience of a similar role with lead responsibility for employment matters;
- CIPD level 5 (Associate) or equivalent;
- Able to act as Lead Countersignatory with the Scottish Social Services Council.
This role is subject to an enhanced PVG criminal record check.

Main purpose of the role:
The Learning and Development Coordinator is key to setting and maintaining the strategic direction for the people and culture team, as part of the learning and development function in L'Arche. This role provides direction and support to L'Arche Communities in the UK, focusing on learning and development in service of the Mission, and our national and regulatory requirements.
The Learning and Development Coordinator provides line management to the National Learning and Development team, supporting and overseeing the coordination of key areas of learning.
In close partnership with national and local learning and development structures, they will ensure the implementation of objectives identified in the national and local community's learning and development strategic priorities.
Key essential criteria:
- Proven experience of developing and delivering learning and development plans aligned to L'Arche's needs and regulatory requirements;
- Experience of line management, including coaching, support, and performance management of employees and volunteers;
- Strong understanding of learning pathways, skills frameworks, and evaluation of impact;
- Knowledge of mandatory and regulatory training requirements, including safeguarding;
- Experience of using or managing a Learning Management System (LMS);
- Experience in a learning and development role, ideally within a charity, social care or health organisation;
