School Cleaner - Job Description Purpose of Job To ensure all school buildings, classrooms, dormitories and bathrooms are regularly cleaned to a high standard. The school cleaner will work as part of a team to perform a variety of regular and one-off cleaning tasks and duties as directed by their manager. Responsible to The Deputy Head (Pastoral). Duties • Be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of your designated area and for maintaining high and consistent standards. • Take initiative to perform cleaning and tidying tasks that are not specifically requested but require attention as part of maintaining overall high standards. • Ensure Health & Safety, quality and general procedures compliance • Work as part of a team and support other members of the cleaning team to meet standards and school objectives. • Keep accurate hours for any hours worked over the core hours in this contract and ensure that they are signed by the line manager. • To carry out such other related duties as may be reasonably required from time to time by the Headmaster of other members of the Senior Management Team. Person Specification Knowledge • Some knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations as they relate to the operation of cleaning equipment and the dilution of cleaning materials. Job Title: Admissions Officer Reporting to: Marketing Manager Location: Fyling Hall School, Robin Hood’s Bay (school-based, with flexibility as dictated by role) Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time (20 hours/week; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, flexible between 8:30–4:00) Salary: £13–£14 per hour, depending on experience Purpose of the Role Fyling Hall School is seeking a proactive and personable Admissions Officer to support the smooth running of the school’s admissions process. Working closely with the Headmaster and Marketing Manager, the post holder will help manage communications with prospective families, process enquiries and applications, and support admissions events. The role also involves building and maintaining strong relationships with education agents, who support international student recruitment. While prior experience in admissions is not required, the successful candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and be confident working in a fast- paced, people-facing role. Full training will be provided. In addition to admissions duties, the role includes occasional, ad hoc support for marketing, reception, and general office tasks, making this a varied and collaborative position within a small school environment.
