Our Estate Facilities and Scientific Services team are recruiting for a Building services Engineer with Mechanical/Electrical bias to join our site facilities team, on a full time basis, contributing to the delivery of world-leading scientific research.

The main duties will involve the planned preventive maintenance and repairs of a variety of systems. The candidate will also complete a wide variety of multi-skill building services tasks as required.

The ideal candidate will be qualified in Mechanical or Electrical engineering with NVQ or City and Guilds equivalent, and have good relevant experience in a post apprenticeship role. Basic BMS experience is also preferable, however, training can be provided to support developing of knowledge in these areas.

The successful applicant will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimum supervision and will have a broad range of mechanical or electrical knowledge and experience. Good communication skills and the ability to make sound judgement and approach tasks logically are essential.

This is a permanent full-time position of 37 hours per week and a basic salary of up to £26,573 per annum.
