The gentlemen also enjoy getting out and about going on day trips further afield to places like Dundee or Edinburgh. When not out exploring, they also enjoy going to parties and events within the local community.

Shift Patterns
Our team provides support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, following a four-week rolling rota. If you’re successful in joining our team, you will be expected to work a combination of longer and shorter day shifts and sleepovers. Our team have an assortment of shift patterns tailored to suit the needs of the people we support between 7am and 10pm (which includes a sleepover to the following day).
Sleepovers don't form part of your contacted hours so you will receive an additional payment for your sleepover work!

One of the ladies we support has autism and a learning disability. She loves listening to music and getting creative with arts and crafts. She also loves spending time out in the community every day whether it's going out for a drive in her car, enjoying a nice coffee out or a bit of pampering. She likes to keep busy and one of her favourite things to do is to get her hair and nails done.
About You
Due to the complex care needs within our service, we're looking for people who bring experience of providing care and support within the Health & Social Care sector who have the confidence to lone work and manage behaviours that can challenge.
We will also need you to bring a commitment to studying for and achieving an SVQ (SCQF level 7) and completing training and further qualifications which are identified as essential for our service. We will fund and support you with any training and qualifications you'll need and we will even reimburse your yearly SSSC registration fees!To be a great Complex Care Practitioner, you'll need: -
- Previous experience of providing care and support to adults with learning disabilities and/or of working in a forensic service
- An understanding of professional boundaries, accountabilities and responsibilities

Shift Patterns

Three of the ladies do use wheelchairs, so you will provide support with all aspects of their personal care too. The ladies are all non-verbal and have limited communication, so getting to know them will take time but once you do, you'll find the job and their company so rewarding.
Our team enjoy encouraging the ladies to live a valued life and get the opportunity to have a variety of experiences. They plan lots of days out and arrange a number of activities in their home, from arts and crafts to alpaca visits.
