Trustee Recruitment

FOUNDATION FOR COMMUNITY DANCE
UK wide
Full-time
30th September 2026
Listed today

The Lisa Ullmann Travelling Scholarship Fund (LUTSF) was established in 1987 in memory of dance pioneer Lisa Ullmann. Today, the main aim of our small charity is to provide financial support to individuals to travel to further their studies in the fields of movement or dance. By supporting international mobility, we foster creative and cultural exchange.

LUTSF is a registered charity (no. 1203903) and we are delighted to be seeking additional Trustees to include a Chair. We are looking to hear from individuals with the vision, ambition, and influence to support the Fund in the next phase of its journey.

Trustees attend two meetings per year in central London. Meeting dates and locations are set with considerable notice, taking into account the availability and preference of all trustees. This is an unpaid, voluntary role but any expenses incurred will be reimbursed.

Previous experience in a Board Member role is not necessary as we are committed to full induction, training and support for all new Trustees.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people with skills in the following: Marketing/Comms and Fundraising. However, we welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.

LUTSF recognises the positive values of diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination.

For more information, please read our Trustee Recruitment Pack and visit our website - link below.

We are keen to speak with anyone who would like an informal/confidential chat about the role or application process. For queries about access, or if you would like this information in an alternative format, please email info@lutsf.onmicrosoft.com.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview with a panel of current Trustees and invited to observe/shadow a Board meeting (dates dependent). After this, if both parties agree and following receipt of two satisfactory references, the candidate will be appointed to the Board in the following meeting. For this round of recruitment, we are aiming for all new Committee Members to be in post by March or October 2026.
