About us
Are you ready to take the next step in your career and make a real difference?
Our Tullideph and Walton Mill services in Dundee are made up of two supported living services that support 11 adults within their own homes. As Team Leader, you’ll have the opportunity to work across both services, getting to know the people we support and the staff teams.
Each person receives support shaped around their individual needs, choices, interests and ambitions. The people we support have a range of needs, which may include Learning Disabilities, Autism, Epilepsy, ADHD, Diabetes, Bipolar Disorder and Hearing Impairment.
We're looking for our next Team Leader. Whether you've led a team before or are ready to take the next step in your career, what matters most is that you share our values, are committed to providing exceptional support, and have the drive to develop and succeed.
This could be a great opportunity if you’re ready to take on more responsibility, support your colleagues and take your next step into leadership.
Please note and consider before applying:
- You have an SVQ at SCQF Level 6 (or above) in Social Services and Health Care
- Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service.
- We do NOT currently offer visa sponsorship for our vacancies and would therefore ask that you do not apply if you require sponsorship.
About the Role
As a Team Leader, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day leadership of the service.
This is a hands-on role, where you’ll work alongside staff on shift as well as having dedicated office time to provide coaching, guidance, supervision and practical support.
You’ll help staff develop their confidence and practice, ensuring the support we provide continues to meet each person’s individual needs and helps them achieve their goals and ambitions.
A key part of your role will include:
- Leading by example and promoting excellent person-centred practice.
- Coaching, supporting and developing staff within their roles.
- Providing formal and informal supervision and practice support.
- Helping teams regularly review individual support packages.
- Ensuring support remains proactive, responsive and focused on positive outcomes.
- Working collaboratively with families, Welfare Guardians and other professionals.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
Our shift patterns are designed around the needs of the people we support and include early, late and night-time support.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is positive, approachable and passionate about supporting people to live the lives they choose.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Works well as part of a team and builds positive relationships with others.
- Communicates well and is comfortable offering support and encouragement to colleagues.
- Is organised and able to manage their time and priorities.
- Is willing to use their initiative and learn from others.
- Is patient, understanding and committed to good-quality support.
- Is keen to develop their own skills while helping others develop too.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who shares our values and wants to help create a service where the people we support are listened to, valued and supported to achieve their goals and ambitions.
Working for us
This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career while making a meaningful difference to both the people we support and the staff team you'll help to develop.
You’ll join a service where good practice, teamwork and person-centred support are at the heart of what we do.
If you’re ready for a role where you can lead, develop others and have a genuine impact on the quality of people's lives, we’d love to hear from you.
