The Department currently consists of four teachers, two of whom teachDrama, one teacher of Dance, and one of Music. We are a friendly and collaborative team that works cohesively andsupports one another to bring dance, music and performance to Bede’s. Join our dynamic Performing Arts Department, a vibrant hub ofcreativity and innovation, where storytelling comes to life through bothcontemporary and classic performances. Each year, our departmentdazzles audiences with a spectacular musical production that showcasesthe incredible talents of our students and staff. Additionally, we bring thetimeless works of Shakespeare to the great outdoors with our much-anticipated "Shakespeare on the Lawn" event, offering a unique andengaging theatrical experience.St. Bede’s College Candidate Information PackTeacher of DanceDuties and responsibilitiesA full-time teacher would be expected to teach up to 29 lessons a week of 45-minutes each (Early Career Teacherscan expect a reduced contact time and a full program of support). Typically all members of the Department teachthroughout the College (3-18). You will also play a vital role in choreographing our annual musical, bringingcreativity, energy and cohesion to the production. Teachers are expected to contribute to co-curricular activities and the vast majority of teachers have a small formgroup. The form tutor mentors, teaches PSMEE and promotes the general progress and wellbeing of individualpupils in their group.
