Here at BID Services, we are looking for a Supporting Community Development Worker within the Yardley Neighbourhood Network Scheme (NNS).

This role is for 21 hours per week and will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To Identify groups and organisations that improve the quality of life for Yardley neighbourhood. These are called assets and could be places, people, and services.
  • To support the team in updating a monthly asset register for Yardley area.
  • Build links and relationships with citizens, social workers, GPs and other practitioners.
  • To be a point of contact for the Neighbourhood Network Scheme providing advice, guidance and signposting.
  • To identify gaps and issues being raised by the local community and professionals.

To be successful for this post:

  • Experience of working with community organisations.
  • Experience of working with disabled people and or people over the age of 50.
  • Ability to network and represent DRC at events.
  • Knowledge of Yardley constituency.
